Wtf seems a little more goal oriented than RTB, although there is no time frame identified.

I would be happy with WWTF. Will be a long two more years.

I don't see the problem fixing itself here. Very rare when that happens.

Oh yes he will. Do not underestimate the power of rtb it is set up for constant turmoil.

It's sad, but I'm really hoping that Schiano finds a good D-1 job (Penn State if it doesn't go to Munchak or Golden?) and takes PJ back onto his staff. I never thought I'd say that. Ever.

This might ring hollow, but it's not my intent.

I'm truly sorry that you of all people have came to feel this way. I've never doubted your allegiance.

Doubt PJ would give up our head job to be an assistant in Sappy Valley.

Looks like your recruiting class will hold. You might have some seepage, but you should have the TOP class in the MAC. Impressive based on what happened this past fall.Congrats.

RE: What I was hinting at a couple weeks ago about our verbal...
I'm confused by those who are surprised that Coach Fleck has had success in garnering verbal commitments from reasonably thought of HS talent.
1. He's personable and passionate from what I read and hear.
2. He thinks young and targets what is of interest to them.
3. He says he is starting from scratch so that means PT is available to those coming in.
4. He "played and coached" professionally so he knows what it takes to get to the next level. " Fleck wants you" implies you "have IT". He knows it, you'll play it - no tag backs.

It's quite simple, early on. Time will tell if he can coach and how you handle the talent YOU brought in. Wins and losses plus attrition or lack of it will play into continued success getting commitments.

I'm like Major. In 1-2 years performance will bear out if the "rankings were a good indicator or like everything that is rank.

3 & 4 have major caveats that even the least discerning eye can see.

Agree. I'm not saying that these are reasons to embrace Fleck. Just stating that I see these as reasons teenage boys would be attracted to him. And no, I'm not going there.

I won't touch that. In fact, I redacted it from your quote.

I think we have to realize that our program/team was in a downturn end of Cubits last year. It happens... it just happened to occur at a time we made a coaching change. I think the season was going to be a disappointment no matter who was trolling the sidelines.

He had a great spring & summer, but the fall was BRUTAL.With RTB, that video and 1-11 would scare many off.
