RE: New Orleans Bowl: Tulane s. ULL
Why the disdain between La Tech & UL fans and alums?

Really now...someone cut to the chase and tell us the real reasons why, right?

Maybe even someone from Tulane can explain this and be unbiased?

Just curious...

ULL fans began taunting them about not going to a bowl. It was the most tasteless reaction to a loss. One thing ULL fans don't do is act like they have been there. I have never been so happy to see a team get beat.. Even as hard as it was for a Tech fan to pull for ULM I loved every minute of it.

Perhaps some day UL will be as prestigious as LaTech and then our fans won't look down on others around them.

How can they not look down at others.....They have that seperation.......Factor............NOT>>>>>>>>

Yet you keep sniffing around at what we have. CUSA membership. But why not stay where you are so you can rack up enough SB wins. But note not all SB wins and get your yearly spot in the NO Bowl.

Carry on puppy...........

Interesting that you mention sniffing. There's a strong smell of fear in so many of these Cajun-related posts.

Not fear just dislike for the ULL Cajuns05-nono

See you next year big shot

What about tomorrow night? 01-wingedeagle

I think we have played ULL in football more than any other school and we lead the all time series but I am not sure by how much? Same for BB.

I am not that familiar with the University of Louisiana System, but I believe that the campus in Lafayette must be the flag ship of that system , isn't it? I don't see how it can't be, because aren't all the satellite schools in their little system a bunch of smaller jucos and tech schools?

Betting tip of the week: The odds are in your favor if you bet on the team from Louisiana to win.

Or bet on the one that at one time was the only school in the state named the University of Louisiana.

Well, given this is a football thread...................04-chairshot

But since you brought it up. Tech was a MUCH better basketball program last year. We are improved this year; but the question remains, "how much better?" Tonight will be a good gauge. As will the next 2 games. Tough stretch for us.

Hey JDT,

One of my favorite quotes from a football coach was in 1990, the morning after the Cajuns rolled in NOLA 48-6.

We're sitting at Cafe Du Monde, reading the Pic, and there is a quote from Greg Davis, "We have to go back to the drawing board and find the Tulane football program."

Brutal.

There are 9 schools in the U of L system, Grambling State, Louisiana Tech, McNeese State, Nicholls State, Northwestern State, Southeastern, UL-L, UL-M and UNO. Basically every public university in the state other than LSU. All except UNO I believe are Division 1 universities playing FCS or higher football.

10-5 in the modern era.
Baseball's the only competitive sport historically between the 2.

Interesting that you mention sniffing. There's a strong smell of fear in so many of these Cajun-related posts.

Not fear just dislike for the ULL Cajuns05-nono

See you next year big shot
