He's got solid credentials and I hope that his experiences in FBS will translate into tangible results on the field. With a near-complete reboot of the defensive coaching staff, I expect incremental improvements this upcoming season. Have to tackle the smaller issues before we can move on to the larger ones.

The bad news: another new coach means a new system to implement.

The good news: there should be a lot of new players.

Bottom line: this is an excellent hire based on credentials alone. Hopefully it works well for us.

A week ago I saw a tweet that had him joining the JMU staff, thought it was a good get for JMU. I like Bacote, sorry to see him go. Thought he might of made it thru the off season. Don't be suprise if he lands at JMU, being a former grad and having ties to the 757. Heard the players liked him and thought he was a good coach.

I can almost guarantee you there will be changes implemented from a package standpoint. Of course, I'm not on the staff or team so take my words with a grain of salt, but you get the point...
