RE: The Biggest Game of the Football Season Again
I bolded important parts that stick out. BG holding teams to only 300 yards per game is BIG. NIU rushing for 6.7 yards per carry is BIG. That's all that is.

BG isn't the 3rd best?
- Iowa
- Ball State (one could argue both are ~same)
- Bowling Green (9-3; should have/almost beat bowl-bound Miss State, losing by 1pt)
- Eastern Illinois (FCS #2; 11-1; stomped San Diego State)
- Toledo (if they didn't lose to Akron, I'd put them at 3rd/4th; Owens is sucking nowadays)
- Central Michigan (6-6; not as good as one would think a 6-6 team should be; but beat Ohio)

Toledo beat Bowling Green in a close one, yes. But you can't base it on one game, either.

RE: The Biggest Game of the Football Season Again
Toledo is an overall better team. Their record isn't that far off from BG and they beat them.

EIU is better because their offense is extremely explosive and their coach throws caution to the wind.

They aren't better than Iowa or Ball State. Also you don't think scoring over 40 pts a game is BIG? Or giving up under 4 yards a carry on the ground?

The MACC games that NIU has played in have always came down to the the last minute or so. This may be our biggest challenge yet.

Well, I'm not the only one who thinks BGSU is better than Toledo:
- Hustlebelt.com (MAC sbsports affiliate) has BGSU above Toledo in the conference power rankings
- BGSU has votes in the Harris Poll

And Before Toledo lost to Akron, and BGSU beat Buffalo, according to the BCS rankings:
- #37 Bowling Green
- #50 Toledo

Bowling Green has an amazing D, and an O that can score points. I wouldn't be the only one at all to want to play Toledo than play BGSU right now.

Every game is different and different teams matchup better against different teams. However NIU has handled all comers so far and I don't see them crapping their pants against BGSU. I am wary because BGSU knows they're outmatched and will go all out against us. However I don't think they have the weapons to hang. Archer scared me a little last year; Balls State had Wenning... Who's BGSU got????

Meanwhile we've got JL in beast mode, Cam the "bam bam," TLL, DaRon, Spencer (who can take it the distance on any given play), and perhaps the best defensive playmaker in the country Jimmie Ward. Granted they may not all play but we're stacked and we should dominate!!!!

An awesome D. They're ranked high in the nation in D (granted, not hard schedule). And Johnson, their QB, has improved and is pretty darn good.

RE: The Biggest Game of the Football Season Again
We've handled the "NFL" quarterbacks Wenning and Garrapolo, I'm not too concerned. BG should be much more concerned with our offense than we should be with their defense. It'll be business as usual for JL and crew. We'll go in with confidence, swagger, and experience. BGSU may crap their pants.

I hope they (for once) anticipate onside kicks and fake punts from the start of the game.

Not true, you can win a lot of money on jeopardy with it.

YES!!! Finally, a poster expressing what I was 'afraid' to. Let's sprout some balls on this blog and start talking about DOMINATING this game.

Go all in, no doubts and no fears. (Easy to say from my living room03-wink )

KICK THEIR ARSES!! RUN THEM OUT OF THE FREAKIN' BUILDING!!!
POLISH OFF THOSE F-ERS IN THE FIRST HALF!!

Enough of this tight MACC game past, I say we blow it open early and they scramble to gain some level of respectability after it's done.

whew...I feel better...

My heart cannot take another close game, I took out the XMAS Tree after the Akron loss.

Last second pass and catch to loose against Akron, the famous 4th and long deflection and reception. Then our two wins have gone the wire, with the OT win last year.

I still have a bad taste still fron the 2003 season where a ranked BG handed us our first loss after being as high as 10 in the BCS.

Wasn't that converted 4th and long deflection against Miami Ohio?

Yes it was.

Painful, is what it was...

Our players have no idea what happened in 05 or '10. Well maybe '10 but college kids have a very short term memory...

I have a good feeling that NIU will win big in this game. Lynch has a rendezvous with destiny ( the Heisman) and I feel the team has a grudge on their shoulder ( Last years Orange Bowl). The Huskies will win to fulfill their destinies.
