Washing My Hands
I am finally washing my hands of SBC Football. It was a great league to grow in, and we beat one of their crown jewels in dramatic fashion to close this chapter.

Tonight reaffirmed my enthusiasm with a new conference and removed all desire to ever rejoin ASU in a conference. The red dogs took multiple cheap shots against our players while they were behind their sideline. ASU players (Kennedy, Oku, kickers, etc) were extremely undisciplined and were easily distracted by hecklers in the student section. Then there was the brawl during the game, with one of the dirtiest players in the country Qudarius (?) Lee right in the middle of it all. Then there was the incident after the game involving a large number of fans from both schools (no details so no idea who is to blame).

The final seconds played out in front of a decently filled visitor section and I went down there to get a better view of the final moments. The ASU were exceedingly rude, and whined about the refs in the most overwhelmingly pathetic display ever. Then intentionally sought out confrontation from students and fans as everyone filed out.

This incident is so similar to the expeirience with Troy (don't call me State) fans a few weeks back. Looking forward to playing class teams like UTEP, Marshall, ODU, Rice, USM, and the many other teams who have been there and know how to act with class. Here's to CUSA football 2014!

Glad to have you in CUSA. After the Alabama debacle today. UA BOT may shut our football program down after the smoke clears.

That same kind of crap from Troy fans is the reason I've never been back to the Belt board. Congratulations on a nice season. I hope you guys can get a bowl invitation. You are going to love it in C-USA. It's like heaven compared to the Sun Belt.

Why did TOT leave out Middle Tennessee? Just an oversight?

You didn't hear? stAte won. The refs were obviously paid off and therefore they are declaring themselves the winners. Pretty pathetic. The twitter meltdown has been epic.

One Astate fan even said on the belt board that everyone knows Astate is 8-4. Lol it's so awesome to see this!

I'm very excited that your next regular season game will be as an East C-USA member. Glad to have you on board, Toppers! Look forward to our annual games together. The East Division is truly an East Division that will, in time, grow into an excellent football division of 7 competitive teams.

Congrats on your win Toppers. The WKU vs MT rivalry will be good for C-USA and C-USA will be good for both teams. Looking forward to a growing and improving conference as we go forward.

Our experiences at ArkSt were similar. Welcome to CUSA.

RE: Washing My Hands
What got me about Troy fans is that they always insisted that they would be the first into Conf USA from the Belt. When you tried to use logic to explain that they were too far from a major market, you got even more argument and name calling. Not only have they not been called, it looks like they are one of the last teams Conf USA would want.

I dunno, five years ago maybe, most Troy fans realize what they are and what drives the realignment bus.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if they did...But, I won't like it a little bit if they do. And hell yes, I'm 02-13-banana that Auburn kicked their crimson cash cow's ass!!! Thank you, Auburn! WDE!!!

This isn't to rile you up it's just that I really don't know much about your school except that I know you guys do have good bkb. Where's your school, how big is your stadium, how many students do you have and what has been your best fb victory, how much do you hate mtu? In other words a little bit of history.

As for July 1st, 2014, welcome to CUSA.

WKU played a good game, too bad stAte wasn't mature about it. Arkansas State is just bitter you're leaving for a better place.

As for July 1st, 2014, welcome to CUSA.

Where: Bowling Green, Kentucky (about 45 minutes north of Nashville, TN)
Stadium: Official current capacity 22,000. It will hold up to 25,000. Designed to be expanded to 40,000.
Students: 22,000
Best FB Victory: We've only been FBS for five years so hard to say. Beating Kentucky two years in a row has been especially sweet but not impressive wins though since Kentucky is bad.
How much do we hate MTSU: I don't hate them. Some WKU fans hate them though. Some more than others. I've always felt MTSU fans hate us more than we hate them.

I'd call that a gross generalization. I think we're too very similar athletic programs with a healthy rivalry. I "hate" WKU, but I also respect your program greatly, there isn't another program in the Sun Belt or CUSA I'd rather have as a top rival.
