Yeah, definitely check out our website, tailgatesa.com, for info on the tailgate MarineVet has been talking about. We've had many opposing fans stop in for beer, food, and to chat. All are welcome and welcomed.

RE: LaTech....
For those suggesting park and ride, forget park and ride. Simply drive downtown and park in any of the 10-11 dollar lots and walk to the dome. 15 min walk, max. I take I37 to Cesar Chavez turn right and there is always a lot there for like 11 bucks a 10 min walk from Alamodome, if that.

Tech fans, while lobbying for cusa membership even on this board, claimed to carry 5-8,000 fans to away games therefore you might expect and make room for that many. I am sure the other schools they visited this year are scratching their heads though.
LA Tech actually traveled about 8K to Rice last week. Not bad for a team with only 4 wins this season.
If I remember correctly the announced attendance for that game was around 19,000 meaning there were probably no more than 14-15,000 fans in the stands. Tech, if 8,000 did show up, had more fans there than the Rice Owls which is in itself an indictment of the league when a visiting team can put more fans in the seats than the home team.

Were you there or have any pics?

RE: LaTech....
FWIW, we traveled to Ruston last year in covering the game.
Gotta say, we were very impressed. The tailgating atmosphere was probably the best of the road schools we traveled too. The only game our staff missed was the Idaho game last year on the road.
Said what's up to Karl Malone tailgating in the parking lot and everyone offered us food, drinks and the works. Very hospitable and lovely scenery all the way around ;-)
Once the ball kicked off, the students had some nice chants and they made sure to let the UTSA sideline hear it during the game. Hope the UTSA student section is ready this game.

Here is the fan information for the game. Like it has been mentioned before, the lot domes are sold out but I am pretty sure you can find some on Craigslist. You can also park on some of the private lots around the dome for as cheap as $10.

Thank you for the kind remarks InsideRunner. I'm partial I know, but I'd put our tailgating up against anyone (when our team is winning)...and yes, we pride ourselves on being hospitable and welcoming hosts, but then again, that's just how we roll in the South.
I'm a huge fan of your city and it's culture and food. We look forward to being in San Antonio this week...though not so much the game...LOL. Hope you guys make it back to "Dogpatch" next year.

I didn't know if we're treating this as the "La. Tech vs UTSA" thread and I didn't want to start a duplicate thread so I'm posting in it.
HUUUUUGE game for the 'Runners.
Gotta start strong and finish stronger.
In case UTSA fans or CUSA Fans want to follow along, here's a link to our FREE game thread where we'll have live updates all game long.
