All of which makes me wonder why FIU canned this man in the first place.

He appeared to have the program headed in the right direction.

I know I am late in this thread, but he basically followed "The U's" guide to recruiting. The unspoken off the field issues is what got him canned. You can not do the same thing that Miami has done for decades in the same city! They were lucky not to get the death penalty, FIU was protecting the brand!

There was a bit of smoke on this mainly from coachingsearch.com but it appears to have been just that. Im happy with Partridge. He's kept a few of the staff to maintain continuity and I think he will utilize his contacts in S. Florida to get some good recruits.

I saw that. Luke Meadows is a good coach. He REALLY got the Oline into shape and working as a unit. What I thought was going to be one of our weakness turned into a strength allowing our RB's and QB decent holes to run thru.

He was'nt the OC full time until Pelini's firing. He was promoted to OC from Oline coach once that went down by Coach Wright. He did a good job IMHO with the exception of the FIU game where we felt they regressed a bit.

Just have a hard time with the coach O love. He gets mad at USC and leaves those players high and dry. You always hear coaches talk about how coaching football is about making men out the players. We know it's about making as much money as you can. Just like the rest of us. At least he doesn't pretend it's about anyone but him. Still a bad move.
