Ohio and UNI in a battle 28-27 first half. N'Dour with 11 so far for Ohio. Bean showing a nice shot at the point. Taylor looks a lot better this year so far. Ohio looks fast and athletic so far. UNI beating Ohio on the glass with second chance points so far. Few bad passes by Ohio but this team is quick on the frontline with N'Dour. Ten minutes of looking at this kid play for the first time and he looks like all-MAC potential.

I had zero idea of how Ohio would look. So many new parts and would they fit together? They did today against a quality opponent. I have season tickets but couldn't make it today. It looked like a solid crowd there today. I am guessing in the 9,000 range? Does anyone know the official tally?

Russ said north of 10k and possibly 11k. Very impressive game by the Bobcats. Northern Iowa is going to have a lot of wins this year. Maurice Ndour is going to be a matchup nightmare for teams this year.

UNI is usually a pretty good basketball team, aren't they? Good win for the MAC.

11,162. Not quite that in the stadium but it was a good crowd. Went all the way to the top on the sidelines.

Ohio looked good. Ndour is the real deal. Going to be a fun year.

A good sign for a team with retooled offense and lineup to handle an MVC team at home.

This team will be competitive in the MAC.

Ohio had almost 9,000 more today in basketball than what EMU had in football.

I don't know if that has every happened before in the history of the NCAA where a team from the same conference outdraws a conference football game by 9,000 on the same day.

You are kidding, right? Please tell me you didn't really just confuse UNI and NIU.

UNI was picked 3rd in the MVC. They lost a lot of talent from last year but they have an excellent coach who led them to the Sweet 16 in 2010. It will prove to be a good win.

I was at the game, and I too had no idea what to expect. But, this team already has me excited for what might happen this year and in the future. they made some mental mistakes that I hope they will correct (e.g., too many fouls), but overall I was very impressed. I was REALLY impressed by N'Dour. he's amazing already!

admittedly, I was almost dreading our game this coming Tuesday at OSU. but now, I think we just might give them a game. I still don't think we'll win; we're not to the point yet where can beat Top 25 teams on the road. but I am quite hopeful of a good game from us.

I HATE OHIO STATE!!!! There is only one OHIO!

If we would beat Ohio State (I don't think we do, but I bet we compete) my season would be made two games into the season.

Great win for the Bobcats today! This will definitely become a quality win going down the road. This team will be a force to be reckoned with when MAC play comes around.

it must be going around. the PA announcer at the game today TWICE said Northern Illinois instead of Northern Iowa. but, he's an idiot so it was probably expected from him! LOL
