Yep, CBU is not a good team. We shouldn't allow them to think that they can hang with us.

So you're saying we shouldn't "sleep" on them... I think that should be our team slogan this year. Don't sleep on ______!!!!!

We play a top 10 team in their gym on national TV in 11 days. I'm guessing Pastner is not still "feeling out" this team.

Wow. Not the brightest bulb in the room.

Cute. Maybe you can answer the question I posed to Cowboy since he's being shy.

Or maybe you just want to take pot shots and run off?

run off ? I've been here for oh about 15 years now....

I will walk away from this game thinking that CBU is fun to watch. Again.

WHAT THE BUCS DID A YEAR AGO
• Christian Brothers posted a 21-9 overall record and a 13-5 Gulf South Conference (GSC) mark in 2012-13.
• The Buccaneers finished second in the GSC regular-season standings and won the GSC Tournament championship with a 65-62 win over Valdosta State.
• Christian Brothers earned an NCAA Division II Tournament bid, but lost a 60-58 heart-breaker to Alabama-Huntsville in the opening round.

SCOUTING THE BUCCANEERS
• Christian Brothers returns four starters and 10 letterwinners from last year's squad that went 21-9 overall and 13-5 in the Gulf South Conference.
• The Buccaneers are the first team in the "Also Receiving Votes" category of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) preseason Division II poll.
• Christian Brothers was picked to finish second in the 2013-14 preseason Gulf South Conference (GSC) coaches poll.
• The Buccaneers had one player on the All-GSC preseason squad in junior guard Trey Casey.
• Christian Brothers returns three of its top-four scorers from a year ago in Trey Casey (12.6 ppg), Harry Green (11.6 ppg) and Cory McArthy (10.1 ppg).
• Ryan Fleming is the Buccaneers' top returning rebounder (5.8 rpg) and top returning playmaker (3.3 apg; 99 total assists).
• Head coach Mike Nienaber is in his 16th season at Christian Brothers. He has a 248-152 record at the school.

Hmm, I have a feeling you "borrowed" that analysis from somewhere, but for arguments sake:

CBU is a D2 school that lost 9 games last season, and got knocked out in the first round of their D2 tournament.

They're not even ranked in the d2 top 25, nor are they picked to win their pathetic conference.

They would win maybe AT MAXIMUM 3 games on our schedule this season (we hope to win 20+), and that is because we play Lemoyne-Owen during the regular season.

They are the very definition of chopped liver. Try again please.

I don't think that's what that saying means. I'm saying, even sleepwalking, we should be able to easily deal with CBU if we are truly ready for this season.

If we struggle with CBU tonight it will be because CBU is a good team? Is that a fair summation?

Not chopped liver, no. But if we come out with a take-no-prisoners attitude and play like we can play, should they have any chance whatsoever? Absolutely not. We play like that and we should mop the floor with them. And what I'm saying is that we absolutely need to play like that. Holding back this game only reinforces that type of attitude and makes it less likely that we have the necessary cutthroat attitude against OK State etc.

Lord have mercy, I never said they were good, can you read ? I said they aren't chopped liver. Maybe you don't understand just what that means ? IF we do struggle with them (like we have in the past) there could be all kinds of reasons....they are on and we aren't, we get in foul trouble and they don't or maybe we play EVERYONE to experiment and they don't. We will see tonight just how good or how bad they are.
