Today, I'd think, will be very, very tough, more so then even last Saturday. Yep.
There was the wake last night.

Everyone from Dr. Martin on down was there including even faculty, etc. in addition to the football program. The EMU family really turned out.
The team has to pick up its spirits and try to play a very, very tough NIU team (obviously on the road).
Last Saturday the team appeared to play with heart and love for their teammate. I read an article (Chicago paper) that Demarius' father was in the locker room before the game in a very emotional experience.
Today might be more like a funeral day. Somber, emotionally down, etc.
Today might be another day to be very respectful of a football program which is really grieving. Those photographs really show it.
As others said last week, this is a time to support everyone and not say or post anything to hurt anyone involved with the football program.
Today is a day for a family (and the EMU football family) to pull together and try to get through the day.
I say the following and it isn't a cliche': Today would be a day to PRAY for everyone from the Reed family and friends, the EMU FB family, etc. It will be emotionally gut wrenching. The soul leaves the body at death. On the funeral day, family and friends return the body to God.
I am of the Catholic faith and I know all too well the experience of a Priest at the funeral Mass blessing the casket with holy water and at the end of the Mass incensing (a purification rite) it before it leaves the church for burial, the last act, in the last chapter of the deceased earthly existence.
RIP Demarius.
