Would be very surprised if North Texas intimated many players on Southern Miss, even with their recent turn of events. Lol

You can get passing yards against us, but get ready for a safety or LB to 04-chairshot you

nervous on the swerve????? think about it...you're giving 10 to us at home....wtfe

Granted, USM hasn't shown an ability to move the ball on anyone, so you will probably be effective against them, but they will have opportunities in the passing game.

This is the best defense we've had in a long time. We give up some yards, but not many points.

Our defense hits very hard. They will probably be licking their chops if they see a true freshman QB run onto the field. Youth and inexperience at QB usually isn't the best option for a struggling team.

How good is the Southern Miss O line?

Go look up scoring defense, RZ defense and 4th down defense. And turnovers. Best CUSA defense.

You do realize for 3 weeks straight we've given up like 3 points in the second half total, right?

UNT defense will clean some Southern Miss clocks. Hardest hitting secondary in the NCAA. You may catch it, but you won't hold on. Old school smash mouth defense.

wouldn't be shocked if we were the 'one'...it's happened before...fiu broke their long arse losing streak against north texas...the boys haven't been good on the road, but hopefully the win at la tech gave them some confidence heading to southern miss...

just hope for a win...don't care by how many points...would also love a fast start by the team, but that doesn't seem to happen...i think they've only scored first against middle...need to score early and often...

"multiple commentators"? Srsly? that's your standard?

it's not only completely unfounded, it's moderately insane. The "hardest hitting defense" in the entire NCAA, however and wherever you choose to define it, is not, I repeat, not, at unt -- and no number of comments by alcoholic has-beens are going to change that.

that's just freaking ridiculous.

The very basis of their argument is retarded. "You're starting a freshman, and we have the best defense in the NCAA (although its conveniently in ways that no one can prove) .... So the freshman is going to have a very bad game".

the unt guys don't know what we know; that the last guy was only slightly more mobile than your average corpse, and had the downfield vision of ray charles.

it doesn't damn well matter what their defense is or is not; this will be an improvement, because its impossible for our QB play to get worse.

but let the unt guys keep harping abut their stellar defense. There is good chance that it will seem correct after Saturday.

No, Someone's embarrassed because one of the new conference mates is gushing like a teenager with a crush.

This sh*t never happened in 2.0.

Do you not remember last year's Homecoming? I'll give you a hint, it was the Marshall game.

At least there's some semblance of a future out there now.

Y'all will learn come Saturday.

With our offensive line it would not matter if Favre's was the QB. Love my Eagles, but would be surprised if we score more than 10 pts this weekend.

I'm hardly predicting a win, but at least Mullens can move around and step up in the pocket. AB couldn't run from the law with his brainless arse. Hell, it was like watching him walk into a class of 4 year olds that were happy to see him...he would just open his arms and say, "come to daddy"
