First time I saw this suggestion; it's actually a pretty good idea. Eight-game round-robin FB schedule, better travel for Olympic sports. I could support this (especially if NMSU never moves all sports to the SBC).

RE: Conference Expansion
9 football teams is really good in the fact of being able to play 4 home and 4 away games.
No questions then because of teams not being able to play each other in conference.

No angst at all. Just old news. I would have done the same for UMASS.

Right because .141 (2-14) vs. P5 > .181 (4-22)???
Or is it because 2-0 (2 total) in bowl games > than 3-3 (6 total)?
Oh wait.. It must be your advantage in head to head play.. Well... congratulations on beating Tulane twice, UAB, and USM...

And I would venture to say without looking it up that many of them are against the cellar dwellers. How many of those 42 had winning records?

You forgot to look at the fact the sun belt mostly faces the SEC when you mentioned records vs P5 >.>

Doesn't matter where they were... That's recent history. Just because their conference name changed doesn't mean they magically got better friend.

So...what you're saying is that MTSU, WKU, and FIU are not real CUSA teams, and we should be able to count them as part of our record against current CUSA?

Playing stAte, with both teams @ the FBS level, could be a lot of fun!

It is debatable if FIU is a real program so he's got you there.

And your opinion really doesn't matter coming from a fan of a school that has yet to play a down of FBS football, let alone a season...
And no, what I was saying is that you were using the CUSA vs. Sunbelt over the PAST FOUR YEARS. Only ONE of those schools was in CUSA... I get what you're trying to say...
What I am saying that you can crow on and on about how much better your conference is, and I will respectfully disagree. I think the gap has narrowed, but the reality is that you are not better against the P5 and still only sent two teams bowling whereas we sent 5...And you had teams passed over (Yeah, I know the WKU thing).
And, even though they are only predictions... 7 bowls vs 3...plus an access bowl bid. Again...only predictions, but that is the perception. We will soon see what the reality truly is

RE: Conference Expansion
I love when people claim an opinion doesn't matter, what a joke. It's football, not quantum physics, FIU as a program isn't good. They are yet another program stinking up your weak schedule.
History lesson time, App has played 8 seasons at the highest level. The last time we played at the highest level we beat Marshall four our of the five times we played.
Time to renew the rivalry that we OWN.

When CUSA doesn't get 7 eligible teams this year, SBC teams will be the ones filling those slots.
And Access bowl bid? We share the same equal chance for that one.
