UT may not be top half of the sec but they are still a decent team.

RE: Louisiana @ WKU Game Thread
Here's my best prediction for this game. One of the teams will win and their fans on this board will proclaim they are the team to beat in the conference, forgetting there are lots of games left and Arkansas State and others may have something to say about who is the team to beat. Also, the fans of the losing team will do the following:

1. A small percentage will congratulate the other team on their win.
2. A larger percentage will note one or more of the following which is the usual list of silly excuses used by fans of the losing team:
A. The team wasn't prepared
B. The refs were horrible
C. The team had no heart
D. The weather was bad
E. Bad play calling
F. 10 or 12 days was too long a break and the team was out of sync.
G. Dirty play by the winning team
H. Playing on a Tuesday in front of an ESPN audience went to their heads.

Prove me wrong fans.

This may be more impressive than anything that happens tomorrow night....Posts: 630 in 14 days which averages out to 45 a day. Is that really possible?

To be fair, quite a bit of that is in the Spin Room.

Great article from Lafayette newspaper on Andrews.... and it is all true.
Should be a great college football game. Good luck to Louisiana from a Hilltopper!

RE: Louisiana @ WKU Game Thread
My 5th and final predication on the game hah, where did the other 4 go? Key to game for WKU is obviously limiting turnovers and not letting Broadway kills us on 3rd down and 9 with his legs...I think giving BP 12 days to prepare is advantage WKU

WKU 34
ULL 28

Announced Attend. 15, 430

Even if a drizzle actual people at game 10k...One thing you can count on in BG is if temp is under 60 and even a slight chance of rain or drizzle, BG will stay away in droves....One good thing though our stadium will not look as empty as previous other 10 Tues. Fun Belt games played at other locations...

All BS aside, I will stick to my 31-21 score. If heavy rain comes, I will move that down 7 points each. 24-14. Off to class, some tailgating coming up and then off to the Houch for some Topper football! What day is it? GAME DAY!

Dumb question. UTK existed as a university before Texas existed as a state.

Why didn't he just SAY UTK? We would have known then what school he was talking about. UT is Texas, period.

Texas was colonized by the Spanish nearly 75 years before the English even knew how far it was from the coast to what is now Tennessee.

Neither your factoid nor mine has any bearing on the identity issue. For 95% of the people in the US, UT is Texas. The rest live in Tennessee.

That being said, no reason there can't be two schools in separate conferences identified as UT.. or UL.

That isn't necessarily true on the East coast. Granted, most people say "Tennessee" and "Texas", but here in the heart of SEC country when someone says "UT" most peoples first thought is of the Vols. "UTK" is never really said... at least not in the Atlanta area.

Don't worry about it. Laffy folks probably think UT too, after all they play LSU on occasion. VO just needs something to ***** about.

I am well aware of that. The poke was about everyone having a cow because we use UL. The Kentucky boys and others seem to think that Louisville has a patent on it [even though they don't use it, they use U of L].
