RE: Louisiana @ WKU Game Thread
Well Vegas thinks these teams are about even. WKU gets 3.5 for being at home and the consensus currently stands at 4.5. Neutral field is a virtual pick um. I suspect the knowns on both UL and WKU are still unknowns. UL started a lot of new people on the offensive line, and defensive backs. BP wanted to throw the ball a lot early. Now both teams have started to generate their identity.
Still picking the Cajuns 45 to 28. WKU has an awful lot of turnovers even ignoring the Tennessee game.

Well over 50% of the games ULL loss under Hud is by over a TD....
Toppers beat ULL by 14 if not more

I think the Cajuns are going to pull off the mild upset. Appears to be a pretty even matchup. Should be fun!

I think this will be a fun game. I wouldn't be surprised if either team won a close game. And I wouldn't be surprised if either team won by a big margin. Kind of a crazy feel to this game.

I am going with the weather underground. Calling for a max of .3 inches of rain. That my friend is a drizzle even in Can't ucky..

My gut tells me this will be a down to the wire game. My take is that our kicker is the one who gets to play hero as time expires.

RE: Louisiana @ WKU Game Thread
I've said before, and I'll say again, this game is very evenly matched. I think the cajuns front seven on defense is enough to slow down Andrews, although I don't think they (or anyone not playing with BCS talent for that matter) have the ability of shutting him down altogether. On the flip side, there is enough talent in WKU's front seven to get Broadway moving, but they have to be careful to not actually let him get downfield, just moving in the backfield. If they do that, He can get a bit high on his throws. I think the run game will play a huge factor in the game now that rain is getting increasingly more likely which can go 2 ways. WKU's run game behind Andrews can be killer and would be a huge part in a rain game, but they have a propensity to turn the ball over, which is something that happens more often with wet field conditions. I'll stick with my homer side and say Cajuns 28-25, but I also think that the game can go either direction, but I don't believe it will be more than a TD win by either team.

I think that the Cajuns come out executing perfectly, put up a quick 21. WKU gets discouraged early, and Petrino gives them the halftime speech of his life and WKU comes close early in the 2nd half, but not close enough.

WKU plays the game of their lives and loses by 39? I'll take it.

This looks to be a very good ball game on paper. I think that as good as the Cajuns are, the Toppers will come out strong and take the game to UL from the outset. Similar to last year, except...Petrino doesn't move into the "play not to lose" mode that really cost us dearly under Taggart. We seem to be hitting our stride, and the turnover bug has improved to a manageable level. My bold prediction is WKU 31, Cajuns 17.

Turnovers? Is either team a turnover machine? WKU is a head scratchier for me. They beat Kentucky but get blown up by another bad SEC team UT. It should be an interesting night!

WKU turned it over 6 times against Tennessee and had a few more against USA. Its pretty much the primary reason the games ended like they did.

7 times and 5 of those came on 6 consecutive plays...
2 while WKU was inside the Tenn 10 yardline and 2 pick 6 and 2 of the others on our side of the 30.
