Yeah Pete. Be careful what you wish for.

If DW doesn't play against NSU then "we are doing it wrong."

I think DW will play the 4th Quarter and maybe the back end of the 3rd if we outscore NSU as much as I think we will. He'll probably find the endzone anyway;the NSU secondary will be a bit worn down by then.

My son and I are going. I read kids under 7 are free, so I'm looking at this as $15 a piece. That's not bad. This lets my head justify paying that much for a ticket to NSU.

Based on the article in today's paper, ODU returned unused tickets from the allotment provided by NSU and it appears that ticket sales are slow. Why do you think that is? Are ODU fans afraid of going to "the hood"? I got tickets for my family and me, but it seems that most of the folks that we go with have other plans.

The article did mention the lack of parking. There are no parking decks at NSU and a lot of the surface parking is disappearing for construction projects. I also don't think the $30 cost is helping much. It really seems to be a perception issue to me, we pay $25 for our own home tickets, so it's only $5 more, but something about going on their site and seeing all the other games @ $20 rubs people the wrong way IMO.

I'm going to go and buy one on Sat. as it's the least expensive "road" ticket I'll ever buy " considering travel costs, and because Heinicke will more-than-likely cross the 10,000 passing yards threshold against the Spartans.

BTW, it's TH's 30th game so that's at least 333 ypg. avg. Awesome!

Come on poeple its only 30 bucks to watch the greatest show in Norfolk!!! IMO the game should have been hyped weeks ago to the occasional fans. NSU defense ranks 22 in the nation at fcs

Most of the people I know are buying there tickets from NSU, they're cheaper and you know you'll get them. Bet we have +10K.

Middle of the day should be great and with no problems. I'm parking at Harbor Park and will use Light Rail or the shuttle buses, it gives you options and if they're too back up. I'll catch a short cab ride back.

Is there nowhere to park at NSU? I have literally never stepped foot there.

It's a small, congested campus with that is not designed to handle very much traffic.

I have seen some say they are getting their ticket Saturday. Usually, day of price is $5 more. Someone mentioned being in "the hood." Since 1999 there has not been violence at a game, so please feel safe. I was still in high school before then but have not heard of any issues before hand either. Kids 7 and under are free. If your 8 or 9 year old can pass, no one will card them, lol.

Gotcha. So if I am coming from Newport News, am I probably best off parking at Newtown Road and hopping on the bus on rails? I probably don't want to park my Volvo anywhere in the neighborhood outside the campus, correct? May not be worth the effort.

Sure, there are two light rail stations off of Newton.

The campus at NSU isn't an issue at all as far as safety is concerned. Very nice neighborhoods to the east and Brambleton to the west, it's just the parking that could get sketchy.

Parking might be a problem, but it couldnt be any easier to get to the game. Park at harobor park and shuttle in, or even better, take the Tide. It drops you off right on campus. If ODU can't get 8,000+ to this game, I hate to think about what a bowl game in Texas or Florida will be like.
