If they go 12-0, and especially if Notre Dame finishes strong- 9-3- Oklahoma will almost for sure be ahead of Ohio St in the computers. If Oklahoma is impressive in some of those games, and Ohio St scuffles with Michigan and a few of the other Big Ten teams- it could get interesting if Oregon, Stanford, Clemson, and FSU all have lost.
Last year I would have agreed. I don't think the perception of the Big 12 is strong enough this year though for Oklahoma to have a good shot at passing the Buckeyes. It's possible if Baylor and Texas Tech really keep showing up and if Ohio State looks poor even with wins, but I'd bet on the voters helping Ohio State over Oklahoma this year (but not over ACC or PAC-12 teams).
I would think that they would need to be ahead of Oklahoma quite a bit in the polls. I mean, right now, Oklahoma's avg cpu rating is 5.67 and Ohio St is 8.33. And- Ohio St has had their meat of the schedule. Oklahoma hasn't. Then add in the fact that with 9 conference games, the big 12 cpu ranks get inflated to some degree.
Ohio St's remaining schedule:
Iowa, Penn St, Purdue, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan
1 team left with less than 2 losses(Michigan)
Oklahoma's remaining schedule:
Texas, Kansas, Texas Tech, Baylor, Iowa St, Kan St, Okla St
2 undefeated and 1 1 loss team.
Oklahoma is ahead now, and that gap is just going to get wider and wider. Plus as undefeated teams fall, they'll wedge between- I mean could easily see Oklahoma ahead of Stanford, Oregon, Clemson and FSU in the computers- but Ohio St with their bad schedule not- even with 0 losses.
