Of the losses, 1 was a nail biter against Texas (when everyone thought Texas was going to win). The other two were embarrassing performances in national title games, but the overall record still is one of the best out there including among SEC schools.
While no school has as many BCS appearances as Ohio State. The following schools (14) have better winning percentages in BCS bowl games than the Buckeyes...

BTW, 3 of 'em are SEC schools, and Georgia's winning percentage is equal to the Buckeyes as well. Alabama isn't far behind 'em either...

ALL-TIME WINNING PERCENTAGE, ALL GAMES
School Won Lost Percentage

West Virginia 3 0 1.000
Auburn 2 0 1.000
Boise State 2 0 1.000
Louisville 2 0 1.000
Utah 2 0 1.000
Kansas 1 0 1.000
Oklahoma State 1 0 1.000
Oregon State 1 0 1.000
Washington 1 0 1.000
USC 6 1 .857
LSU 4 1 .800
Miami (FL) 3 1 .750
Texas 3 1 .750
Florida 5 2 .714
Georgia 2 1 .667
Ohio State 6 3 .667
Alabama 3 2 .600

Ohio State may have a better record in BCS bowl games than Alabama, but the Tide is unbeaten in BCS Championship games, as are 3 other SEC schools. LSU is 2-1 and Ohio State is 1-2, with the same number of appearances as Alabama, and LSU's one loss was to Alabama...

ALL-TIME WINNING PERCENTAGE, CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
School Won Lost Percentage

Alabama 3 0 1.000
Florida 2 0 1.000
Auburn 1 0 1.000
Tennessee 1 0 1.000
LSU 2 1 .667
Miami (FL) 1 1 .500
USC 1 1 .500
Texas 1 1 .500
Florida State 1 2 .333
Ohio State 1 2 .333

I like to think the Buckeyes just have a problem with Monday night games.

Are you counting the 2011 Sugar Bowl vs Arkansas as a win? If so, you shouldn't, since that win was vacated by the NCAA.

Of course he still can. Ohio State beat Arkansas on the field. The NCAA overlords may try to tell us otherwise but we know it still happened and the **** that went down to cause the NCAA to play the nullify card, well it really didn't have anything to do with on field play.

That is a major problem with the NCAA is that when they finally do decide to do something, they often misuse their powers.

Funny how folks who gripe about the NCAA, as most do around here, uses a misused NCAA punishment when convenient.

Ohio State beat Arkansas and no one was punished for any type of performance enhancing drugs or anything of that nature that actually affects on field play. There was nothing about breaking rules when recruiting. Nothing at all.

Ohio State beat Arkansas, period.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didnt' Ohio State let the kids who broke ncaa rules actually play in that game? If so, the win should be vacated. If not, then I don't see the point in vacating the win.

that game more than any game the NCAA vacated should have been vacated. No way those guys should have played- and with that no way that Ohio St would have won that game.

that's what I thought...they played. Which is why O$U remains the king of No Class in the world of college athletics. NO CLASS U...that's Ohio $tate.

Dont' even get me started on the Clarrett deal...they cheated, know they cheated and when that idiot got caught with all that cash in his car the school threw him to the wolves, disowned him and acted like he had the plague. NO Class U....

Idk why but a lot of us bearcats seem to be sounding like ECU fans from a few years back. We don't need to knock teams just because we aren't in P5 conferences. Big Ten as a whole has always been somewhat overrated. OSU and in the further past Michigan have always held their own against other conferences. No need to rip OSU.

Actually, since ineligible players PLAYED in that game, it really DID have a lot to do with what happened on the field, especially since one of them was the game MVP.

It is absurd to count that "win". 07-coffee3

Ineligible for doing nothing more different than what got Manziel a half game suspension.

They sold articles of clothing that they fully owned. Somehow now a citizen of the United States cannot sell an article of their own clothing.

Absurd? I wonder how many times you have called the NCAA that very same name yet now, their judgement is unquestionable.

Right.

This forum is full of Bearcat crybabies. Most of us intelligent folks understand they do not represent the majority of Bearcat fans though. They are of that internet fringe.

I see you argue with a lot of people...sometimes you have to stop and ask the question, "Is it me?"

It's the rules, and Ohio State and its players agreed to abide by them. So please don't be counting that Sugar Bowl as a win, it's not. 07-coffee3

Right.

It is a good rule and if not in place boosters would be offering players tons of money for a jersey, photo, and memorabilia. Easy way to funnel hundreds of thousands of dollars to players, if the rule was not in place.
Players are free to do this after their college careers are over.
