At least Oliver Luck has been consistent. He's said no comment about personal issues every time. He won't discuss 'em. He did it when everyone was speculating whether or not he'd take over at Stanford, and he's doing it again with Texas...

Jurich needs to say something about it as well. Without him speaking, there is nothing said about it...
What is the difference between saying "no comment" and not commenting?
Not much. I'll grant you that much. But at least the words came from Oliver Luck, and not some flunky in the dept...
Pat Forde knows way more people than just a "flunky" in the dept...
That's very debatable, dude, and you know it... 03-nerner

Since Tom told them to go pound sand, Luck would be the next logical choice.

Luck has actually interviewed twice for the Texas AD job. But that doesn't mean he'll be offered the job, or will take it if offered...

Your own sources have said he'd likely take it if offered. I agree it doesn't necessarily mean he WILL be offered....

You do know who owns the bluegoldsports site don't you?
I would think twice before I used that site as a reputable source.
He is one of the gentlemen I saw referred to here several days ago as the "West Virginian Expansion Mafia".

My questions for Luck, or any other candidate for that matter, would be...If you were going to replace the FB coach at your current school, who would it be and why? If you were replacing the FB at Texas, who would it be and why? And why the difference?

Then again, there are those of us who are friends with Ollie. His conversations indicate that he loves West Virginia and WVU. He considers Morgantown a special place, and doesn't consider his job finished...

You could be right. However, it's hard to $ee someone turning down a key position at the FB$ capital of the nation (according to Dodd$).....

RE: Texas Dodds to retire tomorrow
Taking a job at Texas would be much like the UCLA job was after Wooden retired. His ghost eat the careers of many a coach for years. I think it will be like that at Texas for a long while. I do not believe Luck, Jurich or Strong will be stupid enough to fall into that trap. The Texas job will be a death trap just like UCLA, Notre Dame, Tennessee and USC have been, also. 07-coffee3

RE: Texas Dodds to retire tomorrow
I doubt Luck would have such problems there. He'd probably have far less obstruction in his job at Texas than he's faced at WVU, and the folks in Texas know what he's capable of getting done, due to his time managing the Houston Sports Complex. But I'd prefer he stay in Morgantown...
