Well, he actually pitched well for Braves after he got here. Plus he's has some playoff success. Can't be much worse than Teheran was tonight. Heck of a way to get your first playoff experience. Hopefully he'll take it and learn from it for the future.

1.65 ERA, not what I expected. however the list of opponents is what i expected:
nationals
marlins
Phillies
Brewers
Mets
Marlins again

Placido Polanco is not hanley ramirez. Of course, Garcia's junkballing/change of speed might throw the Dodgers off just enough to get the ball to the pen. Stranger things have happened

Garcia was 1-1 in 3 starts with the Marlins, Nats, and Brewers. 18 h 4 bb in 19.2 ip isn't bad.

What's amazing about his numbers is his actual BAD luck! His BA BIP was .309.

One thing to watch will be him early- his last start was back on September 24 or 13 days ago. I'd kind of think a guy like him would be adversely impacted quite a bit by that long layoff...

So last night's Braves game sucked. That being said hubs and I went to the game on Friday night and that was hands down the best atmosphere I've ever seen at a Braves game. I really hope we pull the series even to bring them back to Atlanta.

Looking like we're heading back to the STL. Big Game 5 coming up... Props to Wacha... This one isn't over by any means, but it's over.

Don't have high hopes, but this has been a pretty magical season so who knows. I think I speak for everyone when I say we're pulling for you

Dodgers choosing to start Clayton Kershaw on short rest in tonight's game 4 NLDS vs Braves instead of having him available for a potential game 5 back in ATL. (Geinke would be there instead on normal rest.)

So now we have Garcia with a long layoff vs Kershaw with a short layoff, something he did not do this season. A little hope for the Braves, I guess, but even if Kershaw is a bit off, somehow Atlanta has to stop the Dodger offensive juggernaut. I mean, Braves did score 6 last night but it didn't matter as Dodgers had 13. Football scores don't bode well for Braves.

another panic move by Mattingly. You'd think the Dodgers would've been confident enough with Nolasco vs. Garcia and then Kershaw in Game 5 (if necessary). Mattingly is playing a dangerous game

I actually think it's totally opposite of a panic move. It's more of an over-confident move to me- thinking he's got the series won and allows him to get to Kershaw in game 1 or 2 of the LCS- while Cards would have to if they're seeing them not have Wainwright until game 3(vs Greinke)- then have game 6/7 with Kershaw/Greinke.

I posted that before Pedro's HR... Man, Cutch hitting a HR there in the 9th would've been perfect for the "script". Today wasn't meant to be. Can't wait for Game 5

Cole and Wacha is going to be a great match up for years to come.

It's a splendid move IMO.... I have 0 faith in AJ in STL. Could be another game like today where there is little hitting at all.

It's the absolute right move. You simply can't go with Burnett in such a big game, especially since Cole will be on full rest.

Also, is it just me or is it kind of ridiculous that the guy who went in game 2 can go in game 5 on full rest? It's amazing how many off days there are in pro sorts these days.
