I guess it's OK, but "just" OK.
I'd prefer they not surround RRP with big monoliths that block light and breezes, and that concentrate a lot of people and cars in a small area that is already getting congested.
Open, green, airy, walkable, cyclable, and clean should be the overriding principles.

That's right, but they don't need to block the views of the mountain etc. either.

Every building built down there can't be one story either. It's an urban area, it's going to get denser, and that means taller buildings.

+1. I like the historic look as much as the next guy, but sometimes Bham over does it. I'd love to see our skyline have more of a brand new look like Children's Hospital.
