Appears we're in agreement then.

Some high schools have A+ concessions because the players' relatives (or coaches' relatives) are in charge of it, and there is extra-motivation to do it right. At the college level, it's all contracted out to whoever.

You are exactly right. I should not compare the two.

So, have you ever been to a concession stand at the Liberty Bowl? We contract out to cheerleader groups and baseball team fund-raisers as well, just like everyone else.

I live in DC so I haven't been to a game yet this year, so it might not be true this season.

But we traditionally the pop up stands with items like BBQ, pizza etc. If you just went with the main concessions type booths and didn't walk around a bit you might have missed them.

Like I said in my original... no, second post, I should have just gone with the Chick-fil-a sammich. I just couldn't stomach the thought of paying $5.00 for one with no drink or fries to go with it. And I would have had to go for two, or would have gotten "the look" when I got back to my seat next to my wife. 04-chairshot 01-lauramac2 05-mafia 03-lmfao

Yes, but it has been about 15 years and the memories have faded...

I leave you with this....

Concessions.
You guys should look into it.

Going to need more information than that. But i agree they arent the best.

After settling on nachos, I told the lady at the counter:
"Nachos, please. With chili."
"So, you don't want cheese?"
"The sign says 'nachos $3.00. Add Chili for $1.00.' I want to add the Chili."
She looks back in confusion. "can we put cheese AND chili on nachos?"
I said, "Look, adding chili to chips without cheese would not be 'adding' anything to 'nachos'. It would be adding something to chips. I am not buying chips for $3.00. I am buying nachos for $3.00. Chips without cheese is not 'nachos'". I ended up with what I ordered, and admittedly, they were from Riverdale, so they aren't professional, but this was in the 2nd quarter, and I figured for sure with the limited amount of choices on the menu that she would have had to have filled that order 100 times by then.

In retrospect, I should have just bought the Chick-fil-a sammich for $5. IDK, maybe y'all have better stuff over on the home side. I was shocked at the end of the game when I saw a guy with a slice of pizza in his hand and was like... "Honey? Where'd he get THAT?!?!?" My wife said "Probably Domino's"

That is stupidity on their part. I rarely if ever buy anything from our concession stands. I think each one is run by a separate group and raise money for said group. So yea, the customer service you get is probably spotty. The one i went to was helpful, but the guy wasn't popping the popcorn correctly. I would know i do concessions in Huntsville and run stands on a weekly basis.

Price wise, its all a rip-off but they are there to make money and for the convenience. Hence, why i rarely buy things.

Yeah, normally we tailgate for our food, and it takes something extra special smelling good to part me from my money inside the stadium. The 6:00 pm kick is a boon to the concessions budget, I'm thinkin'.
