Even with the loss you can tell that we are getting a lot better.

That was ugly... Memphis sucks and yet they basically should have won that game! I thought MT was going to rout them and they didn't at all - ugh!

RE: Memphis @ Middle Tennessee
First of all, good job Memphis. I definitely believe you are on the right track. Secondly, MT won but I am still not happy. Here are my takes from last night.
1. I haven't liked Tyrone Nix and how he runs the defense since he first started. Did the D step up when it mattered? Yes. But you sit and wonder why the players didn't have that energy, drive, and effort throughout the entire game. To make it short, I feel like our defense does a half ass job 90% of the time. That's a problem.
2. Our offensive line is atrocious. Memphis had way too many opportunities to take down Kilgore last night and obviously Kilgore isn't adjusting to the pressure. Some of his passes looked like a sophomore high school QB still learning the game. Horrible accuracy and you could tell who he was staring down field several times. For a D-1 starting QB, that is unacceptable.
3. The biggest issue I have is the play calling. 3rd and 13 and we run that same damn play, up the middle, that NEVER works. MT got a first down? Oh well we will run it up the middle. Play calling has GOT to get creative. We are the most predictable team in football I believe. You can't win games that way. Memphis had some awesome plays last night, ones that MT would never even attempt. Just way too conservative.

My last rant is about the CSC staff. Since when did they become Nazis? I understand that we are in a new conference, but we don't have the attendance numbers for CSC staff to ***** about if people are in their assigned seats or not. We have always sat where we wanted to and by God, I am not changing that. When we start selling out every game, then come see me about this issue, but right now, let people sit where they want. It fills gaps in the stadium.

I also want a "No Kids" zone in Floyd. I absolutely hate sitting near kids during games. I don't have kids yet for a reason and I sure as hell don't want them around when I am yelling and certain words spew out of my mouth. Not often does that happen, but when it does, I do not need a 3 year old staring at me like I just committed murder.

If your sitting lower level between the 30's they will check to keep the students out because of the new rules. If not I don't no what the deal is. I think we should flip sides like tech did and put the students back where they were.

They were checking tickets and throwing people out of sections last night around the entire stadium. It was awful.

Sorry you had bad experience, but I am personally glad the they started doing it. Before I moved into an OAB there would be somebody in my seats almost every game. At it's best it was a hassle and it's worst it was altercation because people felt like they should be able to anywhere they wanted and didn't want to move. People who pay for those sections shouldn't have to deal policing their own seats because people want to by cheap and sit wherever they please. Season tickets are cheap and single game tix are available in almost every section. No reason not to sit where your ticket says.

I am a season ticket holder. I hate where my season tickets are and I enjoy sitting on the visitor side, 1-2 sections down from the students. The problem I mainly had last night was due to Memphis fans not buying their visitor tickets, paying $8 for ours, then complaining when they couldn't get in that exact seat (in a MT section) and complaining when MT fans yelled. Just a bad experience last night and Floyd is never like that.

I had mine moved over to 1H after being on the home side. I was talking to the ticket guy and he said that section was available for season tickets now. so i bought them there. He also said they are trying to get everyone to sit where their seats are (didnt sound like this year, obviously i was wrong. haha). But it was getting on my nerves the guy going and attacking every single person that entered sections 2G and 1 H. If they have to check tickets, stand at the fricken bottom and the top and dont let people down if they dont have tickets. It's not that hard.

MTALUM09 i think i may know who you are and i definitely agree that it sucks not being able to sit where we want, but now we also know that it will be the rule going on, so i'm making adjustments now for the future. I also agree that the CSC people shouldn't be going after people like they were.

The lady when we walked up ask if we needed help to our seats, said no, we know where they are, thanks. not 5 minutes later she had walked up and asked to see our tickets and said she had to check.

Were most of the people being checked younger? If so they are probably bring told to check anybody that loojs like a student since that is the major issue.

Yea, because being socially responsible is such a phucking head ache. And my God the kids. Let's send a message to our fan base that kids are not welcome. Then you would just b1tch about why only 12,000 people were showing up at games.

If it's such a hassle for you maybe you're better off locking yourself in your crib and watching it on TV??

You know your problem appears to lie with your own personal responsibility in not taking care of own business. Instead, you would rather b1tch about everyone else. Rather than bitching about everyone else (not so accurately) inconveniencing you why don't you take care of your own sh1t.

Good game, MTSU. Congratulations. I Could biotch about the disparity in officiating, but you would call me a whiner anyway, so I will just say congratulations.

I leave you with this....

Concessions.
You guys should look into it.

After settling on nachos, I told the lady at the counter:
"Nachos, please. With chili."
"So, you don't want cheese?"
"The sign says 'nachos $3.00. Add Chili for $1.00.' I want to add the Chili."
She looks back in confusion. "can we put cheese AND chili on nachos?"
I said, "Look, adding chili to chips without cheese would not be 'adding' anything to 'nachos'. It would be adding something to chips. I am not buying chips for $3.00. I am buying nachos for $3.00. Chips without cheese is not 'nachos'". I ended up with what I ordered, and admittedly, they were from Riverdale, so they aren't professional, but this was in the 2nd quarter, and I figured for sure with the limited amount of choices on the menu that she would have had to have filled that order 100 times by then.

In retrospect, I should have just bought the Chick-fil-a sammich for $5. But seriously, and I'm not knocking you as fans because I know you have limited control over such things, but my children's high school JV games have better concessions. I mean, we at least have pulled pork sandwiches and hamburgers as options.

IDK, maybe y'all have better stuff over on the home side. I was shocked at the end of the game when I saw a guy with a slice of pizza in his hand and was like... "Honey? Where'd he get THAT?!?!?" My wife said "Probably Domino's"

Jesus. What is your deal?!? It was a suggestion for those without kids. I had 7 kids directly in front of and directly behind me last night. Between crying, kicking, and more, I get annoyed. Is one section out of that entire stadium too much to ask?!? And I never complained about my "own ****." It was my fault for not getting my season tickets where I sit. But in the past 4 years I have bought season tickets, I have never had this problem. Sorry I can't read minds and be perfect like you.

Some high schools have A+ concessions because the players' relatives (or coaches' relatives) are in charge of it, and there is extra-motivation to do it right. At the college level, it's all contracted out to whoever.
