I waa against the OT board being added, but it was created for a reason and the majority of FCS threads are OT here. There has already been more FCS talk this year than all of last year. Again, this isn't AGS.
No offense, but you can just "not click" on a thread. It's called self control and discipline. Do you have to take a hit from the joint when someone offers it to you? Do you have to watch Honey Boo Boo when it comes on TV? Do you have to sleep with the fat girl instead of going home alone? No, you don't have to do any of these things just like you don't have to click on a thread and read it. That's part of being a human being, the ability to reason and make informed decisions about what we will, won't, can, and can't do.
And yes, I agree there are way too many FCS related threads over here but you have to keep in mind that you are adding 2 schools who have been FCS powerhouses. They are both very proud of their history and it's difficult for some to let go. In another year or 2, these threads will go away. Until then, the GSU and App fans have nothing else to talk about because they are still playing FCS schedules and they want to be accepted by their future FBS peers. I know I watched the game last night and studied both teams, learning the style of play, the crowd, any of the little things that may be different. Truth be told, the experience at both GSU and App are closer to FBS level than nearly any other FCS school and are actually better than some current FBS schools... so in the minds of these fan bases, they belong and they are just looking for a way to tout that fact.
Reacting in a negative manner isn't going to change anything. You have 2 logical options, don't click the thread or provide positive encouragement to sway behavior. Neither of which you are currently doing. Personally, I would suggest you take the high road and act like a civilized adult, help grow your soon to be peers, encourage the positive discussion, and not act like a spoiled bully on the playground who wants his ball and his game played by his rules.
But that's just the opinion of a Georgia Southern fan.
