I know but wouldn't you guess the same dynamic will be present in the coaches poll if not to a larger degree after last year. My fear is that climbing the polls is going to be much tougher than we think. It is dumb to worry about though because it is obviously out of NIU's hands.

If it happens, it happens. Why does everyone worry about every little thing on here? First it's the coup at the Northern star, then the weather is against us, now all of college football is against us.
Let's enjoy that we are fans of a very good college football team and focus on the task at hand, Idaho.

I would put money on it... Unfortunately.

Well, we could be on Facebook looking at other people's vacation pictures or an image of a cake they baked. I'd rather just complain.

You are spot on, win and control your destiny. That is truly NIUs only real option to focus on...

I do not think the Huskies will put up the same numbers against anyone this year as they did against UMass last year, including UMass.
Blowouts reach a point of diminishing returns anyway. Winning by 33 is much more impressive than winning by 3, but a 63 point win is not that much more impressive than a 33 point win. That could all depend on when the winners pull their starters ,and when the loser gives up.

That said if we are winning games by 33, we will not have very many issues to focus on except how we are being ranked in the ap and BCS polls. A good problem to have....

I see what you're saying. I do think scoring a lot of points matters though. In 2010, when the Huskies were ranked going into the MACC, it was because they put 65, 59, and 71 points in their last three games that they got those votes.
