Exactly. It's far too early to judge this season. I really did think we saw a lot of signs of progress in the team's athleticism and even execution at times. Take away a couple of dumb penalties and a bad call or two and this conversation could have been completely different.

I'll admit, walking out of the stadium Saturday, my primary thought was, "I've seen this game before." It's easy to make the assumption that this season will follow that all-too-familiar pattern. I really believe that we're going to break through at some point. I still have hope that this may be the year it happens.

I expect next year to be when things really start to come together... but that does not mean that this year is down the crapper, especially after one game.

Some of you guys make Chicken Little look calm.

I, like many of you, are frustrated because we are pushing 9 years deep into our string of losing seasons. It has been 9 LONG years of this.

But our guys are mostly underclassmen. Many of them have only been "losing" at UAB for a short period of time. The misery of 2010 and 2009 and 2006 etc. are not on them. They know nothing of it. For them, learning to win is a process they are just beginning. The good news is that the talent level is obviously up from previous years, and we lose very little for next season. So, this year, we can fight our way to a good season and be set up for a great one in 2014.

If you jump ship now, you're an idiot. As demiveeman said, you should have left a long time ago. Now is the time to hang with this team!

No, the current W-L record takes care of that all by itself.

Half of the teams that played last weekend have the exact same record. Will they be shut down too?

Well, if you're talking about FBS schools, it's more like 45%. ;-)

First of all this is the first i have talked about the coach. I was banned over the whole Calloway debacle. We have to give him a chnce to overcome thw Calloway years this is a process. When did Watson lose the boys I know when I was in achool they thought they could beat anyone and did on several occasions.

You are right, several of Watson's teams looked real good. I like what I see from McGee so far (for the most part)............kid are excited and playing hard, talent level is slowly, but surely rising, etc. I look forward to the games now, especially the CUSA games (I'll be glad to get this LSU behind us though, with hopefully no injuries).
