Not looking forward to the LSU game.
When UAB loses to LSU next week, I'm afraid to see how our fans react after the Troy loss.

I'm as disappointed as anyone. And to a large degree I'm on the mad side of things. I'm not convinced that our coach has learned a great deal after one year. The time out three minutes into the third quarter, the on sides kick, clock management at the end and there are many more examples of what costs UAB this game.

I'm not happy with the product on the field, but I'm not jumping off a cliff either.

Go Blazers!

No one is satisfied with losses. Especially when it's a loss to Troy. Surely folks can be smart enough not to expect a win over LSU. Sure hope for one but not expect it.

UAB has more talent on the field than we have in years. It's abundantly clear to me that is the case. The problem is with some of the coaching as well as some of the mental fatigue. We were executing at a high level and without many penalties early on. But that all changed in the second half in particular.

UABs MO is to play these high level games with a bit more focus. They say teams improve the most between weeks 1 and 2. Lets hope that holds true.

I'll watch it as long as my stomach can take it. One of the best memories of my life took place in that stadium. Gonna be tough to watch what calls itself a "defense" and reflect on the Steel Shield days.

Does Backman have to sit the 1st half of the LSU game?

I don't believe he does.

It was interesting to note that Backman was sitting up in the stands with the rest of us after halftime.

I was thinking - real tough luck kid, it looked legit to me.

He really has shown great improvement since last year.

Screw THAT! I'm not only gonna watch it, but be in the stands cheering like a mad man, cursing like a sailor, and crying like a baby.
Besides, the OOC games are for bowls the conference games are for titles.

I'm stoked about the LSU game. I listened to them slop it up against TCU. They're not great. They fumble a lot, and if we have even an above-average game, it will not get out of hand.

I'm serious.

We're good, we just screwed up the Troy game late. We're still going to a bowl game. Count on it.

I'll be happy just to keep it from getting embarrassing ............LSU has a ton of talent. TCU was a good team.....................Hopefully, LSU will play donw to the competition, with they are know to do sometimes. Our offense can be very good..........the defense looked a little better to me, other than letting that QB go 30-32 :(

The defense will probably give out again late, but it will be tight at halftime. We will not be embarrassed. This **** is gonna be fun.

I think LSU QB whose name I can't spell without looking it up is waaaay inferior to Corey Robinson, so I wouldn't worry about him going 30-32 in warmups, much less a real game.

I think we will play LSU tough and if we are hanging around late who knows? Maybe lightning does strike twice.

I have a ticket, wonder if I am going to make the trip now. Probably will, and just leave at halftime. Would rather not have to watch in person another second half meltdown

RE: Not looking forward to the LSU game.
LSU is a beatable team. No team out there is unbeatable for that matter. But, UAB has to play better than they have ever played before and they have to play that way for all four quarters of the game in order to beat LSU. The Troy game is over we (both the fans, coaches, and the team) need to pick ourselves off the ground and get ready. LSU is probably the toughest game on our schedule and they are not going to let us win. I am sick and tired of losing and I am sure everyone else is tired of it as well. With that said we have to play harder than we have ever played before and leave nothing on the field, and damn sure leave nothing to chance.

RE: Not looking forward to the LSU game.
LSU is going to demolish us. Lets be honest about this. TCU was the top defensive team in the big xii last year and lsu put up 450 yards on them. After yesterday I learned what i feared, and that is that our defense isn't greatly improved. Until we can stop the other team, we aren't going to win consistently.
