*sighs* can't find words to describe, but my joy from it being basketball season again makes me happy anyway.
Cheers to that..our team is every bit the disaster that your court is...and yet I still can't wait for the horror show to begin.

Lots of reasons to be disappointed in the student support but this isn't one of them.
During Lefty's tenure, this game would have been mostly full at the Convo. A 3-5 Redskins team on TV would have sure as hell not kept us away. (And the Redskins were good back then. They won the Super Bowl my sophomore year.)

Lol I like our helmets... all of them.. Our basketball court and unis aren't so great this year, but that court takes the cake.

The court still looks stupid but I would definitely have a lot of fun with that ref standing on the tongue.
It is an exhibition game during NFL sunday (including the Redskins game). I never went to an exhibition game while at JMU and I went to probably 75% of the home games when I was a student.

I can't remember missing any home bball games while I was a student. Mind you, that was quite a few years ago, so I'm sure I must've missed one or two at some point, but I can't remember it now. I did have a habit of skipping evening classes or leaving halfway through class so I could get to games, though. My professors all loved me.
But no, I'm not disappointed that no one showed up for an exhibition game. That was a joke.
So then what exactly what the point you were trying to make?
In the first quoted post, I was poking fun at the fact that there were so few people at the football game yesterday, and the picture of the exhibition game showed empty stands today. Sadly, humor is so frequently wasted on these boards.
Oh, and also that our court looks stupid.
Missed the humor so my apologies. Just tired of the same bashing of students over and over in these threads as well.

So I'm attempting to watch the girls game against Grape right now. The court really is painfully distracting. At least on Madizone, it's hard to keep track of the players on the floor because they blend in with the stupid heads.

I didn't find the new court design a distraction and/or something that made it difficult to watch the game. I was more distracted by the sloppy, unforced turnovers by JMU players trying to make an unnecessary pass.
If players are "blending in" with the painted Duke Dawgs, perhaps you should stop using that particular brand of mushroom?
Honestly, IMO the court looked good on the broadcast.

RE: new court design
While watching on Madizone, I found the floor design very distracting. The players seem to dissolve into the floor so I had to concentrate more on making out the players instead of watching the play. Hopefully, I will get use to the scrabble of colors and lines.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't have a problem with the court. If you can't see a player in a white uniform, you should make an appointment with an eye doctor.
The endless complaining about the court has long gotten old.

RE: new court design
To be honest I did not even notice the new floor last night once the game got started. I was sitting next to the pep band so I had the long view of the court.
Possibly looks different on TV due to the side angle of the cameras.
Once the game got going their was so much movement on the court I found myself concentrating on that.
