No major surprises. Togia listed ahead of Mosely at DT. Jevontae Parrish listed at backup CB to Taylor Reynolds (I was not familiar with him at all ) . And the true Freshman Raven Greene, who I thought would be in the corner mix, is listed at backup WS to Jeremiah Wilson.

So we're playing a 4-2-5 defense with Till in kind of in a hybrid LB / Safety spot? And BS would be Back Safety? Not sure I've seen that before. It'll be interesting to see how that works.

Maybe I'm missing something. Skahn's name, number and correct height/weight are listed as the #2 holder. I was about 95% sure he graduated last year and he isn't on this years roster. Am I crazy or is it a overlook at perhaps the most important position to Tony Romo?

Jevontae Parrish was QB for state finalist Heritage in Lynchburg. His name came up in another thread about QB depth.

Not surprised with Togia over Moseley. Moseley has missed some time this summer, so it makes sense. Concussion like symptoms I think, so they'll ease him back in.

^This... plus Bing is probably the only D-linemen to make it through camp virtually injury-free. Just about everybody along the front four has been out at some point in time this preseason. Togia deserves the start.

Mickey said they are really impressed with Lambert at RB. Watch for formations where he's in the backfield and DQ is lined up in the slot.

Another thing I noticed about the 2-deep is that Andre Coble is no where to be found. Anyone know if he's still recovering from his injury? Dude was lightning quick.

CCSU OL avg is about 6'3 1/2, 279. JMU DL avg with Togia starting is about 6'3", 262. With Mosely its about 6'3 1/2", 267

Clearly JMU has a size advantage. Also notice that CCSU's starting left OG is listed at only 6'1", 224.

I went to the CCSU site to make sure the OG size was accurate. It is, but they have him as a DL on the roster. However, their game notes also list him as starting at OG.

3 new rFr faces at starting positions: Both corners in Williams and Reynolds, along with the coolest name for a LB in Gage Steel.

4 more new faces on the 2 deep: Zack Ozycz at DT (the only new face in the 8 player 2 deep DL), Stallings backing up Roberston, and Bangura and Parrish at CB.

Coble is still listed on the roster at JMUsports.com, just not the 2 deep for the game

Yeah, he's still on the team. I guess he just got beat out but was wondering if he was 100% yet. Couple years ago it appeared like he could develop into a big threat play maker.

It's easy to get lost in the shuffle. We've got 17 people listed on the roster at WR and 1 more listed as WR/DB.

Makes me wonder why we're not redshirting Ravenel & the other freshman WR. I sure hope they play enough to make it worthwhile.

talked to Mike, Daniel's dad today; he said Daniel got some reps with the 1's this week and expects to get some plays Saturday.

Scratch that last post from me. Daniel Brown not even dressing this week. He has only had 5 practices in the past year- precautionary.

I think they have some wheels that will suit an up tempo offense nicely

I know first-hand about Brandon's wheels. Saw every game of his last year. Just didn't realize Mick was feeling the fire so much that he gave up redshirting talented freshmen. I guess you could say the good thing for them is it gives them a safety net to possibly redshirt if they suffer an injury.
