Syria would just laugh at obama if he tried to say something about his line being crossed... He's the joke of the world and nobody takes him serious.

BUT, you know what the Oooofficial response was to the questions about our non-response to their use? It wasn't large scale enough.

Yep, it didn't cause enough mass casualties to trigger zerO's "red line" warning. We have a very nuanced regime in place don't we? Lovely, isn't it?

So they can kill people off 500 at a time, and that's just FINE by the administration? That was the official response?!? I didn't catch the response from the spokesman, and now I think I"m glad I didn't.

So to steal a line from Swordfish/Star Trek... when is it enough? 1000? 10000? a million???

Congratulations, MR. President.. you know have officially the most TOOTHLESS administration known in the history of the United States (even more so than Jimmy Carter and that's saying something!)

When it becomes important to the election cycle. Obama made a big mistake issuing an ultimatum he could not back up. His protestations about the shootings of "protesters" in Egypt will similarly make him look foolish, but he's not alone in that pursuit.

How American Hopes for a Deal in Egypt Were Undercut - NYTimes.com

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/08/18/world/...;_r=1& Wrote:“You could tell people were itching for a fight,” Mr. Graham recalled in an interview. “The prime minister was a disaster. He kept preaching to me: ‘You can’t negotiate with these people. They’ve got to get out of the streets and respect the rule of law.’ I said: ‘Mr. Prime Minister, it’s pretty hard for you to lecture anyone on the rule of law. How many votes did you get? Oh, yeah, you didn’t have an election.’ ”

Don't mock it. The Chicago Cubs have been leading from behind since 1908.

This year they're in last place and leading spectacularly.

Personally..I am glad he has no balls on this issue. I want nothing to do with the US intervening in this. Let someone else do it for a change. We gave at the office.

Problem is that if any Israeli cities are slimed with unsecured Syrian CW Agents then some areas in the Middle East will get nuked

Avoid this if possible.

While we're in agreement that this is one area we shouldn't be involved in. (Syria), President Open Mouth Insert Foot already did that when he made his original comment.

Now what's the next tryannical govt (North Korea) going to think when POMIF says, "You launch an attack, we will get very serious with you". They're going to laugh and laugh.

Ummmm...neocons and war mongers.

Shouldn't we at least wait until we actually know if this is even true before we act?

Or do we want to be like Turkey?

Obama promised consequences.

If we determine they indeed used WMD's against their own people, then we build the coalition and carry out the consequences. We'd have lots of nations on our side and it would be a totally justified action.

But anyone who feels we should start invading now can gladly put themselves or their loved ones on the front line.

I'm with FO - stay the F' out of it. Let someone else carry this water. Period.

However, the object of your unwavering love and affection has opened his mouth and promised repercussions. Can he figure out how to lead from behind, but yet follow through with his tough talk. The world knows he is an empty suit puzzy. Just like Putin - they laugh at him, they know he is a Eunuch.

That's ridiculous and you know it. We can't do anything yet...it just happened! Lord.

That being said, if/when we ever get involved...it ain't going to be boots on the ground, but rather an aerial assault.

Run the Clock Out Obama, and commietom, will have plenty of time to explain what was really meant or show it wasn't Assad it was actually America's fault. Even Better, Bush's fault.

There is a big difference between an invasion and a limited "snatch and grab" raid that has been rehersed in Jordan by US forces this summer

Go in. Secure the CW agents. Destroy them in place or take them out. Pack up and leave.

Understand...and that's the most likely path. And I will fully support (and expect) such an action as soon as we verify that it actually happened. And I also expect we'll be fully supported (and aided) by England, Israel, France, Turkey and a few others.
