The good news is that there will be some good things coming for the G5 conferences soon. I have a good source who has told me some interesting things. It's one of the reasons why I think the future is bright for the G5. For one thing, Aresco is going to make a power play that will be pretty nifty for the AAC. Stay tuned.

My schools' football programs aren't going to thrive as well as they would in the P5. Both would easily be mid-level (or better) in the P5 if they had P5 resources.

But my schools aren't going to drop football just because they are G5. Both football programs will survive and remain very competitive.

Onward and upward.

My wife makes a yellow cake that replaces the oil, eggs, and such with a melted container of Cherry Garcia ice cream and tops it with chocolate icing. Tough to beat but.

Not a fan of German chocolate, if I'm having coconut I want coconut cream pie.
And how is it that coconut is associated with Germany. Germany is a temperate zone and coconuts are tropical

It seems that the fans that are upset the most are the ones in the AAC. I don't understand why there is so much anger of this. If you think about it, the AAC schools have their biggest rivalries in the same conference. This is huge. On top of that, if they could focus more on getting their #1s to play against each other in bowls instead of scrambling to play against P5 schools in bowls, I think they will be better off for it in the long run. It's not to say that P5 and G5 should not play against each other, but if the G5 wants to build their brands and make their conferences popular, they need to build from the ground up. Plus the money from TV contracts is overblown. I think the G5 will be doing fine and will have plenty of money to run their athletic departments effectively.

I think the future is bright for the G5.

stick it

ps: gonna miss beating you guys it football...it was getting to be a regular thing. And also, thanks for the memories in 2009 at Heinz, we will treasure it always. Armon Binns sends his love.

I will be bright for the top 1/2 of the Gang. Schools like yours are there to provide conf wins for those schools. You school will enjoy the cash, while you enjoy the losses.

It doesn't matter WHAT kind of cake it is as long as it has cream cheese icing! I love me some cream cheese icing! You could be all like, "I got a ham and olive loaf cake from Vivian today" and I would be be like, "what the???" But then you'd be like, "its got cream cheese ICE-ing" and I'd be all , "aww heck yAya I want some of that"!!
....yep....
Cream cheese icing...
