I think there is some common ground to be found. I think we can safely play the game without losing the physical aspect of it. It's just that the changes have to occur at the Pop Warner level and change the culture from there and implement it upwards, through and beyond that generation. The "Heads Up" program is a good example. Small rules changes can achieve the desired effect IMO.

Coaches do rush players back onto the field too early. Their jobs depend on it. But there should be someone looking out for the players best interests on the field, like qualified medical personnel. That's only started happening recently, as the full impact of football related injuries have become known...
