Exactly what do you smoke or drink? "Proving" yourself in the past means next to nothing when it comes to a 2014 ranking or SoS rating.
You honestly think anyone is going to boast about "crushing" Presby?
Your complaint that someone's too critical makes no sense in light of your blinders-on view of reality. A win over the Blue Hose will be just that, a win over the Blue Hose.

Hmm. When I said 'proved ourselves in the past' I meant that NIU will be more accepted in the eye of the media. Look at Boise. They were an 'OK' team last year, yet the media was portraying them as a GREAT win for Fresno state. To say that what you do in the past has no effect on the future, is garbage. And you may be right about 'boasting,' but it will at least be coooll for students to see NIU dominating a team. I'm not saying it's the 'most exciting game,' as Iowa or BYU or Alabama could be, but there's at least an upside to playing and crushing them.

Presbyterian is the perfect game to break in a teams new starting quarterback. I'm glad it is the first game of the year.

Be careful when you say that. You may be accused of smoking the chronic.

I would be more excited if the Huskies were playing just about any competitive team at Huskie Stadium, but the Presbyterian game will be a good one to start the season with. It allows the offense to get in sync and the defense to gain some confidence. This is all assuming everything goes as planned and the Huskies win easy.
