On top of still playing S.Miss every year Marshall will finally have more regional games with WKU, ODU, MTSU, and Charlotte. I am not sure why but I am the most excited to start playing WKU. I have not reason for some reason I just do. I wanted them to first when this crap started.
I think it will be a good conference no matter what people say. To be honest like I said we only lost 2-3 good teams. Tulsa, ECU, and UCF. I don't think Houston will get back to what they were under Sumlin, SMU is nothing to be happy about, and both Memphis and Tulane are two schools that for all intents and purposes could give up football and no one would care. God knows their fan(s) don't.
In comes schools that very dedicated fan bases that actually get excited about their teams. My only plea for you new guys is to please TRAVEL TO YOUR AWAY GAMES. Let's make this conference fun and let's see if in this reboot we can all be respectful of each other and just have fun.
And on the basketball side I feel like we have imporved. We lost one good basketball team and brought in several to replace them. Outside of Memphis we lost nothing in basketball.
HERE'S TO THE NEW GUYS
We won a total of THREE games the previous two years under Porter yet last year we improved to 4-8 overall and 4-4 in CUSA. With that in mind we have last years home attendance averages:
Memphis 24,371
Marshall 24,896
Any Marshall fans care about football? A little fairness and accuracy please.
I like the makeup on the current CUSA and think there's a bright future ahead for it's members. I wish nothing but the best of luck to CUSA and every time any of you play ut-knoxville, please stick it up their a** .

The only time that your stadium is full is when the Liberty Bowl is played. No one cares about Memphis Fooball. Those numbers of yours are so false it's not even funny. Your football team is terrible and will remain terrible.
Got it here genius. NCAA attendance statistics . Done here. Momma always said not to argue with booger eating morons. Good luck to the rest of you and, for the sake of the sane Marshall fans, good luck to the Herd as well.

RE: Proud to be in C-USA!
Happy to be (back) in C-USA.
Sure we can't play football in conference for two years, and sure the A-10 is a better basketball league, but I am happy to be here. There is a ton of value in playing in a conference where you can go to an occasional away game, and where opponent fans come to your stadium/arena. Rivalries make college sports special, and while I know and like UAB, Marshall, Southern Miss, ODU, MTSU, and WKU a lot I am sure I will be able to work up plenty of good-natured venom for each of you when we play. You other schools are a mystery to me but I promise to work on it.
If you live near Charlotte and can't make it back to your games please come out to Jerry Richardson Stadium this year and join us. You may have to call the other team's ticket office to get in, but we would love to have you. Wear your team's colors if you like so I can thank you for coming out.
