I didn't sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night but I have to believe that the Navy Blue being shown is a darker shade than your school's actual color.

That said, I kind of dig that silver numeral with red trim on the side of the helmet.

FAU is excited about this whole "joining Conference USA" thing, and it's hard to blame them. And that goes double when it's a perfect excuse to design and unveil some new uniforms.

Florida Atlantic is on the move to the C-USA from the Sun Belt and they're pretty excited about it. Namely, they made a semi-palatable looking cake, but they also revealed new uniforms that are much more owl-centric than their previous duds.

Really? USM fans basically are just the opposite.. the Number/Logo sides really had an "old school" feel to it... where this was a business of kicking butt on the field and not just beign entertainment for the kids in the crowd.

I just like symetry on the helmets. I could of dealth with the number on both sides or the logo on both sides. Just a pet peeve I guess. I am warming up to the total look though. We have Red jerseys as well with blue pants and I think the helmet will look really sharp with that.

I agree that the owl logo should be on both sides. I also don't like 2 different sides of a helmet. But the colors and design that were picked are really slick. Glad they chose the navy and love the silver (plus the darker navy color of the uniforms/helmet)
