Could be, although we just had the Uni's redonelast year. Can imagine it would be to hard to pick a darker blue. We also have a blue pants w/ Red Jersey that will look great with the blue helmet.

Maybe the lighting makes it darker than it really is.

We had 2 student athletes get up and speak about the confrence moves. Both of them stated that since most of the CUSA schools are in metro areas it will save them a lot travel time and allow them to be fresher to compete and help them with thier Studies since they wont have to bus out to outlying areas as much.

RE: FAU Party Day Thread!
So OwlFamily is the closeup helmet just a general design and the one modeled the real one? Becaues to me they look like completely different helmets. Which will be the one on the field? Hopefully the one Reaser is wearing because that dark navy is nice.

This is the FIRST TIME I have ever seen someone argue FOR the travel in CUSA as being a plus for the student athlete.

Remeber we had some rural places in the SBC.

Troy, Monore, Jonesboro, Lafayette were flights into the closest city and then Hour long (if not more) van rides to those places. I think most of the teams in the East have much easier travel too then those places. Plus having divisions means we dont have to go west more then once a year or so.

Do you know the answer to my previous post Owl? Because to me those helmets look way different. Silver numbers vs the ones on the closeup and such.

It's silver the reflective in the silver paint caught the light and showed white. They are the same helmet, Reaser didn't really drop his head to see the silver on the top and the camera didn't do much justice, there was actually a lot of light that shines into the Acura Deck.

That's the 3rd school I've seen Adidas put those wings on the shoulders of the jerseys. Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan being the others. I'd be upset if I were FAU.

The wings came out last year, along with BGSU and EMU.

Still. Lazy and unacceptable on Adidas' part. IMO.

When they were released I didn't really get the notion that other schools had the same design, only after catching BGSU playing did I see it. It is what it is, at least we have something in the jersey that relates to the school.

So the colors are darker as the pic shows for the uniform and the helmet is that one with silver and such? If so they are pretty slick. Now keep them and start building a tradition with them. Hate when schools are switching them constantly

I didnt really get a closeup view of em. It was pretty crowded. @dkurtenbach on twitter has a small video of Kieth doing a 360 turn that has a great view of it.

Sorry I couldnt help!

Honestly I'm not surprised. Its not like EMU/BGU/FAU have unlimitted resources to have Addidas make a custom uni like Oregon. I'm sure addidas came out with the design for a "bird" and offered it to the schools. The diferences in Logo's and colors should be enough that people dont get consfused.

RE: FAU Party Day Thread!
Just got back from the event.
I hate that there's different sides of the helmet, but I really like the stripe. I think this will look very sharp with the red jersey and white pants, although that's my least favorite combination that we have. I disliked the double blue that we wore against Wagner and FIU, it looked sharp with this new blue helmet, but I'd prefer the white pants with a navy blue top.

Great to see Alfred Morris and coach McCormick at the event. Both received deserving rounding ovations.
