Congrats Bearcats. I hope this helps you join a P5 conference. If the ACC expands again, I hope you join Pitt, Cuse, and Louisville.

We will renovate both the East and West pavilions of Nippert Stadium to dramatically enhance the total fan experience at UC

Just simple common sense. I know there is quite a vocal camp that would like to add 10K or so seats. But, the infrastructure has to come first. If they try to jam 45K fans into a stadium that still has ergonomic/facility issues, then the will still end up with 25K crowds.

And, as has been said by many, the boxes are going to rake it in.

Thanks for stopping in Shannon. You aren't bad for a Pitt fan 03-nerner

Hopefully this pays of large 04-rock

I have been in Cinci for the last 3 games between us. My wife and I enjoy Nippert, even if the wrong team won 2 out of the last 3 times we visited. ;-)

I heard Whit on with Mo Egger last night , wish I could find the podcast on line to post . Had some interesting stuff. going off the top of my head.

- Construction will begin the day after the Louisville game on Dec 6, 2013 . will be ready in August 2015
- Nippert can not be used in 2014
- For 2014 UC explored several options "in the state", including GABP . but logistics/configure too hard to make work.
- Confident a deal with PBS will happen

- Addressing the basketball issue not on the radar right now but will be once Nippert is set .One thing at a time . Its more complicated/expensive gutting an arena with a smaller up-tick in revenue potential than Nippert right now. Increased revenue from football will feed into other programs and facilities , including basketball .

I wished Mo would have pressed him on the rumors about moving basketball downtown, the future football schedule, and potential new UCATS structure.

I still can't see UC playing an FCS team in empty Paul Brown Stadium next season or opening new Nippert against an FCS school.

Maybe they can switch things around for that Alabama A&M game, move it down the schedule and get someone like Indiana or Kentucky on the football schedule with a home and home and also schedule a home and home for basketball as well. Or maybe Louisville since they won't be in our conference anymore? (With bball games of course as well)

I am hoping that we dump the Stony Brook game next year for a road game at Louisville. They have three road games scheduled next season, @Marshall, @FIU, and @Notre Dame plus home versus Kentucky. One of the road games are going to be moved. It also looks like 2015 is very open for them.

Give them a 6th home game next season so they can then open the new stadium with us on in 2015. The Louisville game this season will be the last game in pre-renovations Nippert so why not open the stadium with same two schools that closed it.

If Louisville doesn't want to play Cincinnati. I would offer a deal to another local school like IU, Kentucky, or WVU. Heck I would even go 2 for 1 or 3 for 2 depending if the we found the right match.

This, but I'd only give 2 for 1's against elite programs like OSU, Michigan, Penn St., ND, etc.

Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida State, USC, UCLA, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida would be on my list. I would also consider a two for one with Kentucky or IU if it gave us 1 for 1 in basketball.

I think Whit and Ono are doing what they can. Despite everyone's issue with the American Athletic Conference its mostly been good news back home with those two in charge.

Not that its my first choice , but even if you switch the home and away games with Miami Oh in 2014 and 2015. its better the Alabama A&M.

Your oldest rival and the rebirth of one of the oldest stadiums. And we would be guaranteed a kick arse win 04-rock

I agree but just wanted to add a couple thoughts. Whit said Michigan has no interest in playing here, that's why we signed a one game fb deal. I'd imagine OSU is even less interested, remember last time we signed a deal with them we were a mediocre CUSA school. Florida State just signed a home and home with Boise, why should we give them two?

Boise pulls in TV viewers nationally so the execs love that series.

Now that UC is out of the BCS, I am more excited than ever to donate and support. I heard some stiff collars are throwing a party without us, I think we should crash it.

(06-25-2013 01:41 PM)@ES Trader Wrote:  the founders club are two suites for george smith society members at 6,500 per seat per year, i think each suite holds 25.

then you have 16 other suites that are a million over 10 years and i believe that includes the cost of the tickets.

they also have loge boxes the price per year is 16 grand for 4 people and 30 grand for 8 people.

club seats are 2500 per year per seat

there is a commitment tied with each seating option from 10 years for suites down to 3 years (i believe) for club seats.

The pricing is correct - that is straight off GoBearcats.com - but I think there are 18 suites plus the two Founders club suites. So suite revenue will be $18 million over 10 years.

At $6,500 per seat, the 50 Founders Club seats will generate $3.25 million over 10 years.

Based on the drawings, there are 164 seats planned for the patio suites If you assume a configuration for ten 8-seat patio suites and 21 4-seat suites at the $30k/$16k pricing, if they sell out they will generate $6.36 million over 10 years.

There are 1200 club seats in the Scholarship according to the drawings. At $2,500 per, that is $3 million per year, or $30 million over 10 years.

So, if all the premium seats sell out, the revenue potential looks like $57.5 million over 10 years. Don't know how much has been raised so far, but at that rate of revenue generation we could practically build it just based on seat revenues and pay it off in 20 years.

It will be interesting to see what happens, and how much ultimately gets raised in donations to build it. GoBearcats.com includes this statement: "However, UC officials estimate that, after construction is completed, Nippert Stadium will have a capacity of approximately 40,000."
