Well, there is that.

I don't have an excuse. I watch most of the games Alabama plays in, simply because it's usually a national story and they actually play well. Not a fan of Alabama, but I do like watching football and lately they seem to be in high profile games.

I'm so glad I don't have to excuse or explain my interest in any Bama team. Now if the system BOT takes the field, that is definitely a different matter. I am not a fan of that "team" in ANY contest.

While I despise all things crimson, to be fair the explosion of greed and hypocrisy in college sports has pretty much destroyed my interest in anything outside the Blazer Universe. If I wanted to watch pro football, I'd do it on Sundays.

Especially when you have a decent high school coach and a kid involved.

The new state Accountability Law opens up the possible recruitment of talented "failing HS" players by "successful HS" programs as being a reason to take an otherwise negatively viewed transfer. "Ordinarily we wouldn't allow this transfer, but this kid scored "X" number of TDs on offense or accounted for "X" number of tackles on defense so we can work something out". Like those two JCA transfers who played BB for Mountain Brook HS a few years ago so Mailon Kent's son could play on a championship contending team. What are the chances those two families still live in those MB area apartments (owned by Mailon Kent, Sr) today?

Great. Now high school football isn't fun any more. Thanks.

Can I go pitch it in the yard with my kid, or are there nefarious political implications of that, too?

Bingo. I've gravitated more and more toward the NFL in recent years.
At least it's open and honest that it's about money.

If I want to watch pro football I will watch the NFL. Not the SEC.

I've got great hands. However, the rest of me is built like an accountant.
