Little Rock Bowl Game Chances Improving--Jeff Reed/Sporting Life
Astatenation.com reported this week that the chances of a bowl game coming to Little Rock have improved greatly in recent days. In fact, an official at an in-state school that is a member of the Sun Belt Conference said a new agreement matching the Sun Belt and The Middle America Conference (MAC) is “very likely.”

You wont hear much until everything gets signed off. Still have to get through the NCAA moratorium on adding bowls, and get a title sponsor and final approval confirmed.

That would be "Mid-American Conference". Also known as TCTPBGHC (Too Cold to Play Bowl Games Here Conference).

Remember, ya'll are the new kids on the block. I mean, it wasn't all that long ago in 1946 that the conference was formed. Yes, the ACC (1953), Pacific-12 (1959), Sun Belt (1976), Conference USA (1995), the Big 12 (1996), Mountain West (1999), and AAC (2013) are the current 1-A conferences that were all formed later, but being so new, you will have to wait for people to get acquainted to you.

The PAC-12 has roots since in 1919 under the Pacific Coast Conference.

In 1890 Ohio State went to their first football game in horse drawn wagons also. Doesn't mean they still do.

The PAC-12 has roots since in 1919 under the Pacific Coast Conference.

Following pay-for-play scandals at California, USC, UCLA and Washington, the PCC disbanded in 1959.

On July 1, 1959 the new Athletic Association of Western Universities was formed, with California, Stanford, UCLA, USC, and Washington as charter members. The conference also was popularly known as the Big Five from 1960 to 1962; when Washington State joined in 1962, the conference was then informally known as the Big Six.

Was, radio and media nowadays are just a shrinking industry. I was on-air at the top rated sports radio station weekdays in market number 5 making $7 an hour when I quit in 2006.
