Exclamation Favorite Games Of All Time
As you can tell I'm a huge fan of the underdog and come from behind wins. My list doesn't go back very far as I didn't become a fan of the sport until 2006. Here's my set (what's yours?):

Troy vs Missouri (2004) Troy, 24-14
Troy at MTSU : The Miracle In Murfreesboro (2006) Troy, 21-20
Troy vs Rice : New Orleans Bowl (2006) Troy, 41-17
Troy vs Oklahoma State (2007) Troy, 41-23
Troy at Arkansas State (2009) Troy, 30-27
Troy vs Ohio : New Orleans Bowl (2010) Troy, 48-21

Appalachian State at Michigan (2007)
Boise vs Oklahoma : 2007 Fiesta Bowl
Utah vs Alabama : 2008 All State Sugar Bowl
Texas A&M vs Alabama (2012)

RE: Favorite Games Of All Time
I would say other than the 3 FCS National Championship games of 2005, 2006, and 2007 and the Michigan game of 2007. One of my favorite games of Appalchian since 2000 would be the "Miracle on the Mountain" game on October 12, 2002 against Furman. We were down by 1 point with 7 seconds left after Furman scored the go ahead touchdown at 15-14 and they decided to go for the 2 point conversion fearing the likely probability that we would get down the field on the ensuing kickoff with 7 seconds left. Well that backfired on them majorly when Josh Jefferies intercepted the pass from Furman quarterback Billy Napier at the 4 yard line. Then Jefferies lateraled the ball to Derrick Black who returned it for a score giving App a 16–15 win. Also liked the 2008 game of National Champion vs National Champion against LSU even though we lost!

RE: Favorite Games Of All Time
7) 9/18/10 Georgia State 24 Jacksonville State 27 OT - This was a thriller. This game was a week after Jacksonville State beat Ole Miss and our third game ever.

6) 9/25/10 Georgia State 24- Campbell 21 - K Ian Vance kicks a 30 yd field goal with 0:01 remaining in the game on the road.

5) 10/30/10 Georgia State 34 -South Alabama 39 - The beginning of The Great Hate.

4) 9/8/12 Georgia State 13 - Tennessee 51 - Score after 1Q UT 7-GSU 3. The score was still 14-6 with 5:37 remaining before the half. Neyland Stadium silent for 25 minutes.

3) 11/18/10 Georgia State 7 - Alabama 63 _ Our first time in the limelight. Another great football day. They were one of the best teams ever so you knew you had no chance but it was Bryant-Denny. And we had our moments like WR Albert Wilson's KR for a TD and TE Emmanuel Ogbuehi's (Just signed as an FA with the Redskins) 55 yard reception on our first offensive play. The whole day was the culmination of an entire season and of a lot of years never thinking we would ever get football.

2) 10/22/11 Georgia State 27 - South Alabama 20 2OT- Now we have a rivalry.

1) 9/2/10 Georgia State 41 - Shorter 7 -The inaugural game. I didnt sleep that week leading up to the game, no lie. Just a wonderful wonderful football day.

Utah crushing Alabama then Alabama winning the title the following year.
That game is the mid majors best case for inclusion in a play-off.

RE: Favorite Games Of All Time
These are ones that I was able to see in person.

1. 2000 FCS National Championship Game - Early lead against Montana unravels in the mud and rain but Adrian Peterson puts the team on his back at the end.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJX-H7Fn3h0

2. 1999 FCS National Championship Game - GS demolishes Jim Tressel's Youngstown State. Rushed for 600+ yards and completed 1 pass IIRC.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOhszINT8v4

3. 2010 vs #1 App State - the return of the option era at GS. Down 0-14 at the half GSU wins 21-14 in OT.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuVX3uHghto

4. 2010 at Furman - Last game of the season against hated rival, GS starts down 0-14 and needs a win to get into the playoffs for first time since 2005.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdI0JvjGPls

5. 2005 vs #1 Furman - Trailing by 4 wiht less than 2 mins in the 4th Qtr Jayson Foster works his magic.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8F-oa_2YS4

Honorable mentions
2007 at App State - GS's only impressive win of the 06-09 non option era
1999 vs UMass - AP rushes for 333 yards with the Flu to avenge 98 FCS title loss
2010 at Wofford Part 2 - Qtr final playoff game to avenge regular season home loss.

We will try to remember that you didn't try to proclaim GaSo as National Champions for 2014 yet. Glad you decided to join in.

RE: Favorite Games Of All Time
I think the Wofford at App State game on Friday, Halloween, probably @ 2008 on national television.
Armanti Edwards throwing what some said was a 75 yard pass to Brian Quick in the end zone.
Two or three defenders gave up on the route because they didn't think anyone could throw it that far.
One of the announcers, Sam Wyche, a former Super Bowl coach said he had never seen many NFL QB's that could
have made that pass. Was a night game also, made it even more special.

RE: Favorite Games Of All Time
This list sucks for me, as I saw no games and wasn't alive for all but six seasons. This is done from my research.

1) 12-16-67 Pecan vs. North Dakota St W 13-0. In an iced over game that had frozen Abilene, UTA won their only bowl game.

2) 10-6-79 vs. McNeese L 14-13. This game got the curiosity started that would lead me to research every game UTA played as University. UTA came into the game 3-1, fresh off a win against TCU and McNeese was undefeated. This game would decide the SLC championship as UTA finished 9-2 and only one loss in conference and McNeese was 11-0.

3) 11-16-68 vs. Arkansas St L 22-21. Broke a 15-game win streak at home, also cost UTA its chance at a third straight SLC title and second trip to the Pecan Bowl. The Indians (at the time) scored the go-ahead TD and 2 pt conversion with a little less than three minutes remaining. With 1:45 left on the clock, UTA muffed a punt that Arkansas St recovered to end it. The game saw several big plays, like a blocked UTA field goal that would lead to an Arkansas St TD and UTA recovering a fumble that quickly lead to another TD and a 21-14 lead. In other words, just a great football game to watch that wasn't decided until the end.

4) 9-8-73 vs. North Texas W 31-7. UTA's first game against North Texas, as well as at Texas Stadium ruined Hayden Fry's debut with the Eagles. UNT would go 5-4-1 the rest of the way and UTA finished 4-6, but it put to rest the idea that UNT was so superior to us and shouldn't play us.

5) 10-4-69 VS. East Texas St (Texas A&M-Commerce) W 41-30. Many single-game offensive records that still stand were broken in this game, including most total yards by one player, most yards passing and most yards receiving. Many others exist in the top 5.

RE: Favorite Games Of All Time
Favorite of all time, because I was there for this memorable game was 1949 SMU vs Notre Game played in the Cotton Bowl. Doak Walker was out with an injury and a Kyle Rote led Mustang team that was a huge underdog gave the #1 Notre Dame team all they could handle. Notre Dame was the dominate team in college football at the time finishing 1 in 46,47, #2 in 48 and #1 in 49.

SMU's valiant effort caught the nation's attention. A nine-minute newsreel entitled "Football's Mighty Mustang" played in theaters around the country in 1950. Coach Bell noted: "It was the greatest effort I ever had a bunch of boys give." State sports writers voted Rote's performance that day as the best by a Texas athlete in the first half of the 20th century.

Immediately after the Dallas game, Leahy pronounced his '49 squad the "greatest I ever coached. It's got guts, it's got character."
