That chip was impossible and he dunked it...hometown boy takes down the giants. I love the Masters...easily the best of the four majors.

Actually my second favorite behind the British. But it's a close second.

I love The Open when the course (especially if it's Carnoustie) and the weather are just making the world's best golfers look silly. Turnberry is a majestic course too, it's just stunning up there. I find some of the English courses a bit boring, although only by comparison to the great links courses in Scotland. Augusta is never boring though and you can tell that the players want that green jacket, they really really want it, probably more than the claret jug.

RE: OT: Masters 2013
I am playing in my first ever golf tourney on Wednesday which is a just a local small tourney, but I am nervous about it. I couldn't imagine the thrill and excitement these pros feel playing in such a major event as the Masters and to think of the talent that will just be in the middle of the pack is mind blowing. I see Tiger is 2 under and 2 off the lead so I think he has a chance to win, but this field is loaded with several who could pull the win out.

Nerves happen at every level...throw a few back and your partners will love you....enjoy what you are doing at the level of your ability and don't worry about it. I promise, nobody else will....have fun! It's just another game us boys play.

RE: OT: Masters 2013
FYI...I don't think Tiger has ever broken 70 in the first round....

After the rain moves through tonight, it is going to be target practice tomorrow for these guys. Someone is going super low tomorrow unless they pony trick the pin positions.

back nine on sunday...back nine on sunday...is when the magic happens

edit: Tiger shot 68 in 2010 first round...all others 70 or higher

It would be awesome... but it will never happen.

If someone were to ever win it over the age of 50, it would be Couples. Man just does well there somehow.

b/c he can crank a high soft drop right...no way he holds b/c he can't putt...ball striking only goes so far....but would love to see him blank out his head and make it happen

lo and behold....freddie going low in rnd one.....good luck and keep it going

I agree....everyone remembers the shot up against the tree when he just a kid then running down the fairway jumping up and down...yeah, he has definitely paid his dues to get his first. It took Kite forever to get his first.

Like I said earlier, they must've pony tricked the pins....a few feet there equals miles in greater degree of difficulty.

Bubba Watson really struggled this week. I'm a big fan of his, as he's a leftie (go lefties!). The interesting story to me is this 14 year old kid, who made the cut.

My only comment about the incident:

Tiger Woods should keep his mouth shut if he intentionally does something.

What a finish to a dreary day. Adam Scott is one of the neatest and cleanest guys on tour. I putt with the long schlong...gotta give props to the man for holding it together and winning in style.
