Wonder if we have any connections with this guy that gives us an edge?

Good question. It helps, I guess, that he is familiar with our team.

It also helps that we're the cream of the crop of the only conference he has ever known.

He played his freshman year at NC State.

My bad. He played enough to average 2.6 and 1.7 and got the hell out, so yes he did, lol.

Wow!... this dude is the total package... Good scorer, rebounder, doesn't commit too many fouls, good field goal % and can shoot FTs

I realize why he left NC State... He was playing under Sidney Lowe, he couldn't coach sh*t in college... He probably would have stayed with Gotffried..

I hope we get this guy some how. Problem is, not many transfers want to go to teams that are already loaded. What Josh Davis needs to know is that he would come in as a probable starter on a loaded team. I would definitely start this guy over Shaq and Black.

Guess it depends on if a guy wants to play in a final four or just get some pt in a name conference.

Pastner always did say he was awesome and high level in every interview. Mabe that pays off.

On an aside...wtf with Tulane? Losing Davis and Timmons. Damn.

I can't disagree with you JMSTiger! A modest expectation of the freshmen class alone puts the Tigers in a Elite 8/ outside-edge Final Four contention. Adding Davis puts the team in serious contention to win it all. It would be a major upgrade even if Tarik decided to leave

Tulane fans are suggesting it may be a mutiny against their coach. His days may be numbered.

We gotta get this kid somehow. I know coaches are not allowed to contact potential transfers, but somebody's gotta get in Davis' ear.

The very opposite is true. The NCAA is making it easier to transfer so we will probably see more of it.

Do they even pretend to enforce the post graduate class not offered at current school clause?

RE: STR-Josh Davis come on down?
I remember noticing at the end of the CUSA Tournament game against Tulane, Davis held up the handshake line for several seconds to engage Josh. Just watched it again to confirm and he did. The commentator says Pastner and Davis "had a nice meeting there". Hope he said, Coach I'll be in touch. 02-13-banana Would be a very nice pick up!

RE: STR-Josh Davis come on down?
I hope we can get him and keep Black. I would start Davis and Black and have Nichols and Goodwin coming off the bench so we can have front court scoring at all times. That would give our guards space and and open shots. Jackson, Johnson, and Crawford draft stock would improve. A man can only wish.
