If Louisville wins the conference in FB, will that go down as disasterous?
Louisville looks like it is poised for a great year for the 2013 season. Considering Louisville is here for only one more season before it goes to the ACC, how much would it hurt the new conference if they are crowned BE champs for 2013? I think it would be embarrassing for the conference, but I'm not sure if it would be devastating or not. My guess is that it would simply be a pride thing. It looks like UCONN, USF and Cincy will be down this season, so the most likely schools to stop UL will not be in good situations this year due to graduations. Maybe a school like Memphis will step up this season and stop UL in its tracks?
What are your thoughts? Good luck with your new conference for 2013!
You're welcome.

No, it would not be a disaster. They will be heavy favorites to win the league so all the pressure will be on them as everybody will give them their best shot.

If they weren't the favorite, then yeah, that'd be pretty bad for the image of the conference.
Timing is on their side. They're bringing a strong team into an otherwise down year.
If, say, Rutgers won the conference. Then yeah, that'd be a disaster.

No. Allowing your passive trolling to continue on this board is a disaster.

Miko, it would not be a disaster, simply because things in this league can not get any worse. If one of the teams staying wins, it can only help from there.

I thought Cincy was losing some good experience plus will have to adjust to a new coaching staff. I'd say Cincy will have a challenge on their hands.

This is uncalled for. I get that you are excited to see Houston in a big boy conference now, but there is no need to be so degrading to other posters. Show some class once in awhile.

Oh go cry somewhere else. Anyone who has been on this board long enough knows your schtick.

Cincinnati returns 65 players who were 1st or 2nd year players last year. It basically returns its entire two deep roster on the OL, both QBs who started last year and the majority of the WR corps. On defense they have tons of experience back, including the leading tackler in the conference who was granted an extra year of eligibility due to a medical hardship (MLB Greg Blair). Watch out for former five star, Florida State transfer Jeff Luc (he was the #1 ILB in the country coming out of high school).
This story about UC having a down year because they have to replace _____ has been the same mantra we've heard since 2007.

Louisville would win the ACC next year without breaking a sweat, so winning the Big East would not be shocking.
And UConn beat Louisville at Louisville back in November, so UConn would probably be a factor in the ACC race next year as well, if it was in the conference.

No, it would be great. Cards have been great members of this conference, and (believe it or not) they are still IN this conference next year.
No offense, but it's a ridiculous question.

Hate the ACC but Louisville would more then have their hands full with Clemson, FSU and Miami next year. VT and UNC would also not be cake walks. It is a shame Louisville is not in the ACC in 2013 because it would make for an interesting race between UL, Clemson and FSU for the ACC Championship.
I live in SC so I follow USC and Clemson. Both of those teams will be damn good next year with the Gamecocks being the better of the two but Clemson will definitely make a run for the ACC Championship. Gamecocks could be flat out nasty and should be preseason Top 10, probably coming in 6-8 range in ranking. Clemson should come in around #11-15 so in about the same range as Louisville.
As for UCONN playing a factor in the ACC race ??
