Completely untrue. He bulked up over the summer when he wasn't even around Frank. He has lost some weight since the season started but still could stand to drop a few pounds.

He did say steamroll but, He was being sarcastic. This thread was started by someone who takes things too seriously. I watched the whole segment. He was talking about how everytime he says a team is NOT deserving(which he did about MTSU and St. Mary) to be in the tournament, they run the table to the final four. He finished the segment with this sarcasm: "somehow St. Mary and MTSU are going to beat Memphis" He did say Memphis is a candidate for a 1st round upset(which we are if we dont have it all together) but it was all Sarcasm when he said steamroll. The panel was laughing. It was an obvious joke.
I agree 100%. You beat me to posting it.
I can appreciate the fact that he can recognize his failure to judge a team. VCU really smacked him in the face that year. He and Vitale went on and on about VCU and UAB. I mean, they were practically foaming at the mouth trashing them.
Had they kept the discussion to UAB, they would appear to be genius'. Instead, they simply jumped on every bubble Mid-Major that made the dance over their precious ACC teams, including VCU, and it blew up in their face.
But I can appreciate the fact he can laugh at it now, cause that was some sort of embarrassment.

This is dumb on so many levels. Adding muscle will NOT negatively affect your jump shot. The movement patterns of the jump shot won't change. The only things that negatively affect the jump shot are learning bad technique or failure to properly practice good technique in the jump shot.
This wasn't on Frank. This is the challenge of Memphis area players playing at Memphis. Too many ignorant people in the players' ears. We've seen it with Adonis, Chris, Joe, Tarik, Scooter, etc etc....

Hell, see several of the football players Memphis has had over the years.
Linebacker/fullback Chris "Superman" Reeves had a 39" vertical leap 6 months after fracturing and dislocating his hip against Tulsa.
Becoming stronger definitely won't hurt athletic performance and 99.999999999999999999% of the time will greatly enhance it.
The statements about Frank and Adonis, though, pretty well sum up some of the attitudes on this board.
Last year "Will Barton is skinny and weak. Frank sucks."
This year "Adonis Thomas is too big. Frank sucks."
