Southern Miss v. St. Mary's
I hate to pick on two non-power conference teams, but... Both have RPIs in the low 30. St. Mary's best win is against BYU (66). Southern Miss's best win is Denver (57). Southern Miss's SOS is in the mid-70s, while St. Mary's is over 100. Yet the Gaels are projected to be in, and the Eagles are on the outside looking in. What gives?

No respect for CUSA. Memphis loss to Xavier was the death blow.

cbssports.com has MEM out if UTEP or USM win the tournament since they are only giving CUSA one bid. Who knows what is going on with the agenda driven media....

St. Mary's beat Creighton, BYU x2, and Harvard all top 100 and they lost to no one below 150. Whereas So. Miss beat Denver and UTEP which are their only top 100 wins and they lost to Marshall who is over 200. Also the SOS are a lot closer than was stated above So. Miss is 92 and St. Mary's is 96.

RE: Southern Miss v. St. Mary's
Ole Miss is the one I don't understand... lower than us in both SOS and RPI yet on more people's brackets than USM. I even saw a TV ad the other day where some dude is filling out his bracket and he says something like "I like the Rebels this year." That's clever... could be UNLV, could be Ole Miss. But, we shouldn't be surprised... prostitution has been around so long that it's inevitable that advanced techniques like that would develop.
I really don't get the media's obsession with Ole Miss. I don't get the whole country preppy thing either. Tuck your damned shirt in.

Lol you guys are funny. We are not out and don't depend on us to help you guys out. Take care of schedule and you would be in. Memphis is no where near missing the tourney we are playing for seeding.

There's no way Memphis gets left out. I think we've got about a 50% chance of getting two bids, one way or another. I'll refer everyone to some pointed comments made by Larry Eustachy for my reasoning.

We all need a Larry type statement this year to help with 2 bids. His statement was as clear and to the point as any I've ever heard in making a case for a bid.

Where did I say you were out? I was making fun of the media's perception. cbssports.com is saying this which I think is retarded.

No, you don't care if Cusa gets two bids. You wouldn't get any of the money.

I think we've done a pretty good job of "taking care of our schedule." Tyndall pissed off Marshall and they had their little snit fit win... BFD is my feeling on that.

For some reason, there's a group of Memphis posters that use message boards as a playground for their personal entertainment and have no desire to have any meaningful discussion of sports. A few have been "forced" to leave, some have left by choice, and there are 3 fairly active ones here now that fit that mold. They're pretty easy to spot.
