Freaking only benefit to having them on the schedule is a weekend roadie every other year. Scratch that this year. That sucks.

RE: 2013 Big East Football Schedule
Lets compare our 2012 home schedule to the 2013 home schedule.
2012: Pitt, Delaware State, Miami, Fordham, Syracuse, Rutgers and USF.
2013: Purdue, Northwestern State, Temple, Uconn, SMU and Louisville.
I'd say we have a good shot to have better average attendence this season. If UC is stuck in this league the key will be getting a Purdue type team to play here every year to add a little luster to the schedule especially when trying to attract season ticket holders.

We play the only Wednesday game of the year. Lets hope after this season that Tuesday and Wednesday games do not become commonplace for this league.

Last year's 2 FCS teams were the result of conference shuffling. You would have scratched Fordham and put in TCU who left to go to the B12. 2012 would have been much tougher and more attractive as a whole.

If we are stuck for awhile, Louisville would be the obvious choice for an OOC series game every year. Add a B1G school such as Purdue, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, etc. at home on the years we are at UL.
