I did read where the tournament's #6 seed has made it to the finals of the tournament each of the last three years.

Mercer - 2010
I guess that is something positive maybe????

Two close games against Stetson 2 point loss at home 1 point win on the road. No clue what that means if it means anything. They might win this one or might get blown out. Either way I see them coming home for the weekend.

Bold prediction: ETSU makes the finals.

Not so bold prediction: ETSU gets blown out by Mercer in said finals.

Stetson is one of the best 3-pt. shooting teams in the conference (36%), and we defend the 3-pt. shot at a horrendous 37%. This is a formula for a loss, as much as I hate saying this game after game after game. Bartow will act like Adam Pegg is Kenneth Faried, and use this as a rationale for playing zone ("We can't guard teams with big, thick post players").

We, of course, can win this game. Stetson is a poor defensive team and Bartow does seem to step back a bit in tournament play.

I will say that we somewhat lucked out in drawing Stetson as the first round game. I would much rather play them than Gulf Coast, Mercer or Upstate. That being said we could still easily get beat by 25.

Yeah based on our history this year outside of KSU Stetson would be the team I would prefer to play.

I don't know, it will be interesting to see how they come out. Against Upstate they mailed it in. They looked like a team that wanted the season to be over. They come out like that again Stetsn will be happy to end the season for
them.

Well this is the time of the year were Bartow says it all counts. So I would hope he and the team will come out inspired. Here's hoping for a 13-21 record (12-21 minus Milligan)....and a play-in game.

Not sure I want that.
1. at 12-21 we don't deserve to go to the NCAA.
2. That happens we never get rid of Bartow.

But I don't see that happening so not going to worry to about.
I can't root against ETSU but I sure can't root for Bartow either.

Actually, what you're complaining about is pretty much what keeps message boards going- complaining about how the ballclub is doing.

You are right I complain about alot of stuff and I also vent occasionally on here, I don't whine, they are all different things.

Gold pisses and moans about everything to do with ETSU and the A-Sun because he is still butthurt over how he was treated. Anything he says that might have a valid point gets lost in the sea of trivial stuff he can't help but bring up.

I was just thinking, lets say lightning strikes and Bartow does win the tournament, That means the play in game against the SWAC or MEAC champ which is going to be a lousy team. That is a game ETSU could actually win. If Bartow gets a NCAA "win" he is not going anywhere for a long long time.

ovc is like the sec. both belmont and murray state have double byes. tsu and eku have single byes,,,,,,,,,

ovc is like the sec. both belmont and murray state have double byes. tsu and eku have single byes,,,,,,,,,

I don't follow the OVC but I think it is pretty stupid anyway it is used. There has to be a better way, maybe like the A-Sun (Can't believe I said that another conference be like the A-Sun( and not everybody make the tournament.
