Well I believe Silvers turned down Wake for ETSU, but that might not have been surprising given that ETSU was beating Wake in that era.

Hard to compare to Troy Lee Mikell, he was playing above the rim in an era when players his size didn't do that. I always enjoyed watching him play.

Announced attendance 4,590 for OVC champ.. surely there were more than that seeing as how it is in nashville.

That was about right on OVC attendance. Sellout for the Predators/Wild game so alot of locals were at hockey.
Municipal only seats 8,000 for basketball and most of the upper bowl was empty.

like baker pointed out in the other post, belmont may soon prove itself too good for the ovc and move on from it like they did to the asun. hell, if isaah cannon and company cant put them away, i have no idea who could in that conference. i hope they do leave for the mvc in short order so the ovc comes calling for etsu

WOW. Does that bring back great memories.

I remember coming out of my chair when that dunk happened . Great game for the Bucs. I was traveling today and was talking about that Talford dunk to some of the younger Buc fans that never saw it.

Talford is the best athlete etsu has ever had in any sport period.
