The last week of play has to do with byes. :)

good thing is Kent holds the tiebreakers over both

Good thing Kent still has to go to Akron.

Good thing for who?

MAC had such a terrible non-conference record against weak schedules. Its best teams faced an up hill battle for at-large. It required a long winning streak just to make up for how poor the conference did. Ohio didn't help Akron one bit losing every significant non-conference game plus a game that should have been a 30 point romp in Winthrop. Akron was so close to making the selection committee be forced to look at them. Akron still the overwhelming favorite in the MAC as Ohio hasn't proved it can beat a top 100 team home or away. Akron has several top 100 wins.

Akron still may have a chance at being an at-large even if they lose in the MACC, per conversations on ESPN/CBS today.

Yeah, but the MAC's gotten shafted before. I wouldn't count on it.

Anyway, the MAC had a chance to improve during Bracket Busters...and failed.

Way to follow our lead Akron (Toledo football losing a few days after being ranked)...NOT!

MAC will get 1 team in, yet again. This seems like it will never change.
