At Akron blows at-large chance with bad loss @ Buffalo
Akron finally cracked tonite. MAC now a one bid league after tonite. Zips are done as far as an at-large. Zips streak ends at 19 games.
Loss against a 240 rpi team in March bust Zips bubble.

Congrats on the 19 game win streak Zips. That was a hell of an accomplishment, seriously.

UB just played better ball tonight. I'm glad UB was the team to take them down but its too bad it all but eliminates the MAC's shot at 2 bids in the tournament.

Think Akron has enough to make an at large bid. Congrat's UB. Today was the first day that I seriously entertained a thought about traveling to Buffalo.

It's a tradition. UB was also the only MAC team to beat the 2002 KSU team who went 20-1 vs. MAC teams that year.

Congrats to Akron, and to Buffalo on taking down a great team. If Akron wins out to MAC Championship, they'll be squarely on the bubble, but they'll need help if they do lose it.

It's always one week after our teams get ranked. OU and Toledo fell out in football. Akron in basketball.

Would be nice to do it out of conference one of these days...

Big story, for me, is that EMU, UB and Kent are all fighting for the coveted #4 (and 5) seedings.

The last week of play has to do with byes. :)

Major props to Buffalo. There weren't any serious surprises last night from UB. McCrae is a beast and Watson was on fire from behind the arc. If they play like they did last night they can beat anyone in the conference.

Agreed. They played an excellent game. I'm not a huge Reggie fan, but it seemed he had a good game plan for Akron.

I have grown to hate the Zips but at the same time I was hoping they would keep winning until perhaps losing to Ohio in the MAC title game. It would have been tough not to give them an at large bid had that happened. Now I'm not so sure.

Congrats to the Zips for a great run.

Good thing Kent still has to go to Akron.

Unfortunate. I do not like the Zips but I was cheering for them to win until the MACC for the good of the conference.
