Quite a bargain. Nine million to play Temple. The answer to all my prayers.

+ Tulsa.

Basically, the best of CUSA + USF, Temple.

Infinitely better than the CUSA bottom dwellers, a few FCS startups, and some random Sun Belters.

Basically not.........

RE: C7 to keep Big East name/brand...
So, just reading the Big East board, it looks like the Big East is rushing the sale of the name to the C7 so that only 3 teams, Cinci, UConn, and USF, will benefit from the money. If I was a fan of one of the schools moving to that conference I would be super pissed.

Wow... I have never felt such love. By the way, we have been mezzanine dwellers. Thank you and good luck.

Better than the CUSA bottom dwellers?...That doesn't make a lot of sense. Especially considering that during the last several years, the primary bottom dwellers in football for CUSA have been Tulane and Memphis.

I made a couple predictions a week or so ago.....

#1...Big East name would go to the basketball schools.
#2...The "no name conference" would try and lure Tulsa or UMASS
#3...Houston would end up with the MWC before its all said and done.

I would not be at all surprised to see Houston jump ship and get on board with the MWC any time now.

Another swing and miss.

Eventually, the NBE superfans will be right about something.

BTW, I saw a few Memphis to the Big East billboards last weekend, guess those will have to be changed.

I dont think they go anywhere. Those eight will probably pick up UMASS, Buffalo etc.

I hope number 3 is correct. I havnt seen this group make a decent decision since last September.

I understand that all of us in the Go5 are in the same boat when it comes to defections because when one of those conferences comes calling the team is gone. The basketball split was something of a unique situation and I wasn't too upset to see them go. It made the focus of the conference more narrow. Then Boise and SDSU left which was understandable from their perspective but still a black eye for the conference. How the name is now let go to a group of teams that left is beyond me. At this point I have no idea what Aresco is there for. The nBE (or whatever it will be called) could seemingly do just as well without a commissioner.

It is such a loose association of teams now with next to no stability in any phase (common goals, money, name) I just don't get the point of it at all. I think the C-USA schools have made a serious mistake at this point. Sure C-USA had it's problems but it was moving in the right direction. That conference is essentially starting from day 1 now.

But what was the alternative? All of the schools made the best decision at the time. What's left is basically, what we came from, except USF, Cincy, & UConn.

I honestly feel bad for the good fans of some of those schools. This came undone in such a quick, messy, and uncertain manner.

TOGC is probably thankful he is banned at this point.

You're not fooling anyone... Except yourself, if you really believe that.
And if you do, it is infinitely ignorant.... then you need to GTFO of this board, and go to the ones that buys it.

What is going to be hilarious about it, is that C-USA will instantly be a better basketball league, about the same in football, with the new teams in about 2 to 3 years be better than any of them. We'll take a minor hit in baseball though. I also can't wait to see the defectors women's basketball teams against UCONN also....Can you say 120 - 50?

bluebacker just keepin' it real. He's a good guy and ain't a sunshine pumper.

" A no name, half assed, conglomeration of leftover bull**** with nothing in common except a desire to get out. Wow! By golly, we did it!

I don't think this could have gone any worse. It's a total disaster.

How the hell does the school and the 'league' even market this $hit?"
